Was brilliant
I was very cautious about buying this product as it was quite expensive and not a very big pot, however I bit the bullet and ordered it.. OMG itโs amazing.. I now longer have to spend hours and hours burning by hand.. I got a nice deep brown burn as well.. it amazing! I was unsure if my crafting heat gun would have enough power but it did and it didnโt take as long as I was expecting it to neither. I didnโt use very much and I was quite surprised as I burnt quite a large piece. Iโm hoping smaller pieces come out just as well! Brilliant product.. does exactly what it says it will!

Amazing!
Really great product. It's initially misleading because the pot seems so small but it goes so far. I used it to make Christmas gifts and they came out great. Easy to use and definitely worth the money.

Good effect but pricy
Itโs a really good product and it does really work leaving a fab effect. However I would say for the size of the jar you get itโs a bit pricy. You do only need a little for it to work but still, had I realised I probably wouldnโt have purchased.

Wow what a difference this paste made...it works
I tried a few cheaper options and the paint didn't burn, it stayed red . I bit the bullet and tried this paste. The consistency is much thicker than the paint, it's more of a gel. I put a thin layer over the stencil and then scraped the excess off and let it sit for a good 10 mins and then used the heat gun to burn it. A normal craft heat gun won't work as it doesn't get hot enough. You need a heat gun that reaches about 300c. I held the gun away about 3-4 inches and kept moving the heat in slow side to side motions. In total it took approx 5 mins to burn. The pic I've attached shows the top left stencil was a paint that actually burnt the wood to get the paint the burn and the top right and bottom are both with torch paste and havent burnt the wood, just the paste burnt. I'm so happy with this paste. High recommend paying the extra for an item that actually works. The tub is small BUT the amount you need is tiny and whatever you use, you scrape the excess off and put back into the pot so none is wasted

Quite expensive but you use such a small amount
I had seen so many wood burning projects on line and wanted to give it a go. It does seem a lot of money for such a small pot but you do use such a small amount. I had read about people making their own version but by the time you bought everything you needed it would cost more and you would be storing big bottles of different things. This is a very handy little pot. I have only used it once on an old wooden board and a stencil that I had made. I spread it with one of the childrenโs flexible glue spreaders. You can put any excess back in the pot for another time. As my board was old it was a little warped which meant I hadnโt stuck the stencil down enough in one part so there was a slight bleed of the paste which meant that the design wasnโt perfect. I was a little apprehensive using the heat gun and didnโt quite go far enough so was left with a few bubbly bits which showed on the finished board. Looking forward to trying it again

Tiny tin
The tin is absolutely tiny! It fits in the palm of my hand. I only tried the product once to stencil some letters on a box but the the wood around them also burnt and the whole thing looked a bit smudgy. Maybe I need more practice.

A must for wood burning crafts!
Pictured is my first attempt using Torch paste. Have worked out my errors (marks outside of pattern) so know how to NOT do this again. I love this paste. And it's true, to only use sparingly.

Wood Burning Made Easy!
I've wanted to expand my crafting horizons, and this did the trick! I'm a rock painter and had purchased wooden coins to paint on when I ran out of rocks or wanted a perfectly round or smooth, flat surface. I quickly learned there's no easy way to seal the paint on the wood. I thought I'd wood burn with tools, but that took extra effort and patience...then I stumbled upon a short video online where someone was teaching how to use this Torch Paste. It's super easy to use, I can do multiple at a time, and they come out great. After cutting my stencil with my Cricut, I put it on the wood I'm using, then brush the Torch Paste on with a plastic brush (no bristles, it's like a tiny plastic spatula - maybe 1/2 inch wide - obviously use something bigger if you're working on a larger area), wait a few minutes, remove the stencil, and heat the paste onto the wood with a heat gun. I usually have some excess on top that I gently scrape off with an Xacto knife or other straight edge.
