Great price and reasonable quality for the money. Perfect fit for a Sonoff 4Ch Pro 4 relay timer for water feature, garden lights etc. Easy to drill out weatherproof cable glands without the plastic chipping or cracking. Watertight so far and we've had some heavy downpours.

I needed an outdoor electrical enclosure which would be sheltered and not experience direct rain nor sun, and for £20 for an eighteen way box, this is hard to beat.There have been a lot of cost cutting measures however. The seals are not substantial. Plastic tabs hold the screen shut, and clearly wouldn't take much opening and shutting before the seal would not be firm. Mine don't have the manufacturing defect others reported with one of the tabs not being firm enough to make a good seal. The two halves are held together using self tapping screws rather than the plastic screws you get in slightly more expensive units. From inspection, it in theory could be IP65, I will have conduit going into mine so I'll get condensation ingress anyway, so it just needs to be mostly waterproof as I'll need to drill drain holes at the bottom.The plastic is not as thick as slightly more expensive units, but I've seen much worse. It wouldn't be wise to leave it in direct sunshine for years, you need thicker ABS for that (mine is under an outdoor roof). For the money, it's good, especially if you have spare earth blocks to hand as this unit doesn't come with one.

Great Product and Value for Money

Great seller, promptly delivered. Nice product, unfortunately found a few issues with product. As I was away for work it was a long time before I opened it. I found the following issues so just check your item before you start using it. The problems i found were 1) the hinge on the clear plastic door was broken when I received it. Still usable but pain it falling off when ever you open it. 2) few scrap marks on cover 3)seems to be missing all the screws to fix top to bottom and also hanging screws, wall plugs and rubber grommet covers. Hay you live and learn next time not to get orders while away.

Good budget unit but only thing we though would be in was earth terminal but we took fromOld unit and fixed in this box so overall a good budget unit

FITTED INTO AREA ALLOWED

I bought this as I wanted a cheap project box for something I was making. For that purpose it's fine. Cheap, will be ok with light use, and fine for what I wanted. My concern is that someone may buy this thinking that it is suitable to replace a consumer unit in their house (it is, after all, described as a 'consumer unit'). It is absolutely not suitable for that purpose. Why? Well..There are no manufacturers details or confirmation that it meets the relevant safety standards marked on it.Has it met the required testing for a consumer unit - who knows?It claims to be IP65, but this is not marked on the unit (and to be honest I'd be surprised if it is, at least not with sustained use as the seals are minimal).There are no neutral or earthing bars in the unit, this alone makes it useless as a consumer unit in the normal sense.So if, like me, you are after a project box with a DIN rail, then it's fine for the price. But please don't think it's suitable to replace the (many times more expensive) consumer unit in your home!

Convient à mon usage de coffret secondaire pour extension de circuit.Dommage que les caches en façade soient fixes, ce serait un plus de donner la possibilité d’ajouter un cache ou deux pour adapter l’obturation obligatoire des modules vides. Dans mon cas un seul module. J’ai du bricoler un cache et le coller.

La caja llego sin ninguna protección dentro de 1 cartón y el punto superior de amarre (en plástico) de la puerta de abajo estaba roto. Así la puerta no se mantenía mas en su lugar. Devuelto y reembolsado. Volvería a comprar si embalarían mejor, porque hay una buena relación calidad/precio aunque los amarres de puerta no son muy resistentes.
