Grasscool GY20852 High Lift Blades for John D-eere D140 E140 E170 Mower

I have an older Craftsman YTS4000 lawn mower with a 42 inch deck. I've re-sharpened the blades so many times that it was finally time to just replace them. These blades are a perfect fit. They have the correct star-shaped mounting hole and are the exact same size as the original blades. They are sharp right out of the box, feel heavy and solid like the original blades and they do a good job of cutting and mulching my grass. I'm very happy with these replacement blades. These blades feel well-balanced and durable. I'm hoping I won't need to buy any more for a long time, but I'd recommend these to anyone with a Craftsman mower with a 42 inch deck.

These blades arrived very well packaged, each blade had a small rubber sleeve on the end of sharp edge to protect it during shipping. I’ve bought a lot of lawn mower blades over the years, and I’ve never seen that kind of attention to detail before. The blades came sharp, and the cutting edge is tapered at the proper angle to help maintain the edge. Most importantly, they feel heavy duty. They are almost twice as thick as the old replacement blades I previously purchased on Amazon. Overall, these feel much more solid and durable than the typical replacement mower blades. Very impressed with the quality and value for money.

Put an edge on all blades with a hand file. Mounted in the deck and WOW what an improvement. I didn't realize how bad my old blades were.

Blades looked good. These blades are a high lift semi mulch blade and should work well in non-sandy soil. They fit well. Before installation, I checked the balance of the blades and was a little disappointed. I have three blade balancers, and all three blade balancers showed the blades, on identical sides, a little heavy on one side, which were easily corrected. For the DYIs, an unbalanced blade will shorten the life of your spindle bearings.

Perfect for. Exact replacement same thickness and performance. Don’t buy it from Lowe’s or homedepot. THESE ARE THE SAME BLADES!! it is durable and the blade quality is the same. Get your best value for your money!!

Worth the price great blades

I have 2 lawn tractors, a Craftsman and a John Deere. The craftsman had mulching blades and discharge shute cover but had stopped mulching. I put new Craftsman mulching blades but it still wouldn't mulch. The Deere had regular blades and was set up for bagging. I put these blades and a chute cover on the Deere and it mulched so well that even though I should have mowed a few days earlier, it mulched so well that I could not see the grass that was mulched, which means that it cut the cut grass so fine that it went down below the level of the grass.

The blades were too long. Had to cut them shorter. Take note, the model of mower was what I doubled checked, yet still too long and needed to be cut back. Disappointed
