I bought this Makita template holder for use with a Porter-Cable dovetail jig (American). The jig comes with small template guides and each router manufacturer ideally needs to offer a product to fit these to their particular type of router base. This is the Makita version and it is well made and fits the router and the template guides very well. I have generally found that Makita products are reliable and good value.

This Makita Template Guide Adapters fit and finish is really good. Its a snug fit in my Makita router base and accepts all my threaded brass guide bushes with ease, including the notoriously finicky whiteside inlay kit threaded guide bush, which some of my other both more & less expensive adapters won’t do without me having to file down the bush threads slightly on the Whiteside threaded guide bush. Highly recommended.

Fits my new Makita RP2301FCXK perfectly, which means i can use all my old 2 piece American style guide bushes without buying new ones. Good saving overall and far more choice

Expensive for what it is, however it slips into my router perfectly. I have used it a lot and know it will provide years of service. Recommended.

Perfect for use with the plunge base that fits the handy little (RT0700) Makita router/trimmer to enable you to use threaded guide bushes. Lots of suitable Chinese inch sized ones available cheap, but metric ones are harder to come by (Axminster appears the only option?).
