I CAN'T DRINK JUST ONE
I'm an invalid due to the government crackdown on opioids. I’ve got lots of medical problems with excruciating pain.I was taking strong opioids for 57 years. These medications made it possible for me to live a normal life. I became opioid tolerant & took these as directed & it took away the pain. I drove a car; got a pilot license; earned 2 BA Degrees, an MS Degree & a PhD; taught a colleges & universities across the nation & have taught MBA students from Seoul to Cairo to Kansas to Taipei to Ohio to Jerusalem & many places in between; I became a recognized expert in direct mail marketing; I ran companies, opened a large Travel Agency; I was one of the people with major responsibility for the conception, development & sustaining the Stratosphere Tower Project in Las Vegas; & much more.I almost never one thing at a time. It wasn’t unusual to find me with multiple full-time jobs at the same time. Then, in 1996, even though the disease process had moved to where I could not walk more that 30-40 feet & I knew that it was time for me to go on disability, I tried to push on but my legs were gone & could no longer hold me.Many of these diseases appear to be genetic, the symptoms of many were found as early as age 3 when I was studied for a number of years at The Medical School & The Dental School at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York. In 1996, 4 months after the opening of the Stratosphere, I went on disability and stopped working.I was not able to do much. The pain from peripheral neuropathy made my hands and legs useless unless medicated with strong pain killers. The most effective drug was Oxycontin. I was lucky to have some physicians who understood the difference between those who took this for pain & recreational users. I could always get prescriptions for what I needed. Then someone in Washington decided that I really didn’t need it any more. My physicians met the guidelines for writing the prescriptions so the government didn’t stop them but they made it virtually impossible pharmacies to carry the strength I needed, I had to do without it.I had no violent withdrawal like a drug addict might have but the pain came back. I now spend most of my time in bed, in the dark, with my legs raised above my head trying to fall asleep even for a few minutes as sleep is the best escape from the pain.If my girlfriend, my RN or my C.N.A. isn’t around to get me something to eat. I have a refrigerator near the bed and keep it stocked with cold drinks and some snacks. What really keep me going, keeps me strong, well nourished and alive is Nepro! I am in stage 3 of Chronic Kidney Disease & Nepro is good for the kidneys. It tells you on the container that it can be used as a nutritious snack, a supplement or a sole source of nutrition. Right now, in a normal week I probably eat about 7 meals & cover the rest of the meals and most snacks with about 35 containers of Nepro.I find that I can't drink just one. It is so soft & smooth & delicious that it makes me forget about the pain for a few seconds. I always want another container & I wish these containers ere a quart rather than just 8 oz.

Great tasting!
I this is the best protein drink I have tried. This one is made especially for kidney patients. I prefer the mixed berry flavor, but the other two flavors are good too. While it takes best when cold, it is still very drinkable at room temperature. I would highly recommend this drink. My only reservation is the cost. Walmart is about $10 dollars cheaper than the price on Amazon.

It serves my needs but I wish I liked the taste better
I have to use this product because of my medical condition. Ir has all th nutrients I need for a meal replacement. Ir is a little too sweet for my taste but I usually put it in a blender with ice. It doesn't taste like an ice cream soda but I'm getting used to it. Next time I'll order another flavor. And, by thye way, a couple of the cans came dented.

Nepro is Vital
Mom is on dialysis. Dialysis filters the blood but also tends to remove some nutrients that are important to our health. Nepro helps replace/supplement the nutrients loss through dialysis. I mix the Nepro with Ensure to make a tasty nutritious drink. I buy Nepro by the case every couple of months. I buy the vanilla and the mixed berry. The butter pecan is good but not our favorite. The price here might be a little higher than some other websites but I like the ease of ordering through Amazon. Worth the slight added expense to me for the reliable and prompt service.

Boost on Quality of Life
Nepro provides high calories and a good amount of protein. My husband usually drinks 2 a day. They settle his stomach and help him from losing weight. I like that the potassium and phosphorus is low. I’ve tried so many other protein drinks, but they didn’t provide the mineral safety and carb boost my husband needed. Our favorite is mixed berry, it vanilla is also very tasty. The drinks are pricey, but I shop around for sakes. Also, I safe money on food he won’t eat.

Best for dialysis patients
This product is best ice cold. Pour it over ice cubes or chips if necessary to get the best flavor. My nephrologist, nurse and dietitian recommended three to four containers daily to keep my protein levels up.

DIALYSIS CENTER RECOMMENDED
This product was recommended by the wife's dialysis center to meet nutritional needs. She tried the Vanilla flavor but thinks the Berry tastes better. Problem with both is that they leave a scum in her mouth which she cleanses with a small glass of Ginger Ale. Only disadvantage I see is that its pretty expensive and not covered by Medicare or our supplemental insurance.
