Is the 40l bag supposed to have a hard insert? Reading the description I was expecting something to arrive with an insert making it rigid

The base is stiff but the sides allow for folding the bag. Hope this helps.

Will it keep meat and milk frozen for 14 hours with ice packs inside.?

I don't know about 14 hours but it will definitely keep items well frozen for 10 hours

Can you wash this in washing machine?

Thanks for your inquiry. We do not recommend washing the bag in a washing machine. Instead, you can wipe it with a damp cloth.

how many bottles of champagne will fit in there?

About 6 bottles I would estimate. Robust bag so would hold weight.
