I travel internationally several times a year, and finding a reliable, all-in-one travel adapter is always a challenge. I decided to try the TESSAN Universal Travel Adapter on my latest trip, and I am SO glad I did. It’s the best travel adapter I’ve ever used! Here's why: 1. Brilliant adapter that was taken travelling for 9 months. Worked in every country, compact to squeeze into travel bag. Well made and sturdy.

This was to replace an equivalent adaptor than had 4 x USB-A sockets and 1 x USB-C. Now that we have ever more USB-C items that need charging decided to get this which has 3 x USB-C sockets and 1 x USB-A. And has inbuilt circuitry to speed the charge process up. Very well made, sturdy but a touch too heavy at 278g. This can cause issues when plugged in as the weight can often make it almost fall out of a wall socket when you multiple USB cables plugged in. I took a punt on it being 140W giving a faster charge to plugged in items but has made little difference to the speed of charging in my opinion. All the sliders and the plug stems feel sturdy and well made. Disappointed that this did not come in its own rigid carry case which it should do. I ended up buying one from Amazon. It is expensive for a travel plug adaptor after all.

Tested in a hotel in Athens, and used to charge a small laptop, a small camera, and a couple of smartphones - at the same time. Fairly light, small, and convenient to put in your luggage - we keep it in the cardboard box it came in for extra protection. A clever little plug, with three sets of plug prongs/pins than you slide one set of out. Handy with multiple USB connections, both in USB-C, and the more normal USB-A. Plus, of course, it is a pass-through plug, so you can just plug ONE normal plug into it. The only thing this device does NOT do is convert voltage, We live in the UK, so our stuff is 220-240 volts. So is Greece. BUT if you got to some places (USA and some others) they use 120 volt power. IF you plug in a suitable multi-voltage device, it will be fine (my Philips toothbrush & razor are fine, and so is my laptop - if I use the supplied chargers that they came with). There is a higher output power model of this, and some lower power ones, too. Basically, the higher output ones cost a good bit more. We went for this (middle power) one because it is only for holiday use, and the higher power model was a good bit more expensive. Yet we knew we would want to charge multiple devices (and you never know how many plug sockets you will get in a random foreign hotel). Anyway, it worked very well, and we are VERY pleased we got this model. Just right for our needs! I would certainly consider buying stuff from that brand again, too.

It is really well made, quickly charges, doesn’t overheat, is durable and small.

Used this to travel Asia! Love the fact the plug end retracts away when not use! It saves you piercing things in your luggage. It has super quick charging speeds meaning your phone is definitely charged for the day ahead (a must when travelling) great valve for money! The usb ports are a dream as you don’t need to carry a usb plug, and can charge multiple devices at once!
