this paddle switch is solidly built, but lightweight and yet sturdy - better quality than expected, good positive switch action. I have installed with my new router table build - very good safety option for such a setup and has a longer cable than my router. good investment for safety!

This is a great safety switch for your router table or other power tool equipment. The only downfall is that it is not a magnetically held start meaning that if the power goes out, the unit will restart when power is restored. They have a magnetically held switch, but it did not have the paddle stop button. This one work very well for my application. The construction is very good and the size is just right.

I recently purchased a second hand router table that although was very good in design and function, didn't come with a switch of any kind. For safe operation, you definitely need a start/stop switch on the front side of the table, ideally with a paddle stop function. I ordered this one and was very pleased with its appearance, function and build quality. It does the job for a very reasonable price!

I couldn't figure out how to make the connections correctly so had to hire an electrician. It now works great.

Good switch. Much safer that the old pushbutton that was hard to start and stop. Large shutoff paddle is great improvement. I installed this switch on an old Delta lathe.

I thought it was broken at first because of how hard it was to press the start button. Then I realized how that is kind of a smart safety feature. I would rather be certain I want it on rather than accidentally tapping it on. The stop is well responsive. For me theres nothing else needed. turns on the router without delay and there are two mounting screw slots... had one that only had one and it was frustrating getting it secure.

this is a 4.5 / 5 stars review. I added this to my router table. it work as advertised. The reason for the .5 deduction is that it does not have a mag switch, which to be fare it is not advertised to have one. If you are not familiar a mag switch will not power on the machine in case of a power failure. Still a very good switch. The Start button is intentionally hard to engage, which is a safety +. the Stop button under the large, red paddle is very responsive. Another + it comes with a long, 3 prong cord to plug in an outlet and another cord for the tool to plug in. very Happy of this purchase.

Works well, sturdy and easy to mount. I have this at knee hight in front of my table saw so I can stop it from any side with my knee or foot without letting go of the wood if I need to abort a cut.

Perfect for my router table I built in to the wing on my table saw. Nice thing is that there is no wiring required. Just plug it in to the wall with the 5 foot power cord and plug your router in to the female dongle. Simple. Must note that the "on" switch does take considerable pressure to activate which I imagine is a great safety feature.
