Q: What is the diameter of the pan a the bottom? I suspect the 10 inches refers to top of pan. Thanx.

The top of the pan measures 10" the bottom of the pan seems to be 8.25" or 8.50". I love the pan, use it for most of my everyday cooking. Grew up in Texas so Cast Iron is my "go to". Hope this helps!

Q: Does the handle get really hot or do you have to use a hot pad on the handle?
