La Rochere Bee 70cl Wine Carafe

I got this to go with my bowls, plates and mugs in the same design. I love the thick chunky glass that is hard to break, as well as the unusual bee design. I've been using the bowls and mugs for a couple of years now and they still look good as new. They are well made and perfectly clear, big enough to be useful without taking up much of a footprint in the cupboard. Now with the plates I wanted a carafe to finish off the table, whether it was for wine or juice.This carafe is a nice size, at 70cl it will take a normal bottle of wine or most of a 75cl one. The neck is wide enough to air out the wine and flared enough to air it as it is poured, but only just, I think. My other carafe has a much wider neck but is too big for the table. It looks really good with water in for a bedside table (with a glass over the top and fantastic with orange juice for the mornings.The glass itself is super easy to clean, doesn't stain easily and can easily take any size bottle brush. It dries smear free if you rinse it and is chunky enough not to chip, crack or break easily. I really love this set and will be using it for mornings mostly as I find it very cheerful and hardy at the same time. The carafe just finishes it off nicely. I'd like to get glasses to go with it but next in order is the larger dinner plates.

Perfect in the dinner table

Good glass item, a little smaller than 1 bottle , also as others have said the bee logo not quite as crisp as on glasses, but I like as a solid everyday decanter for decent price. Delivered on time .

Lovely wine carafe matches glasses and sundae dishes. French made and very strong and sturdy.

Lovely little carafe, really sweet and dinky. Didn't imagine that something so sturdy could also be pretty and delicate. Ideal for those leisurely summer evenings in the garden.

Broken upon arrival - inadequately packaged. Very small from what I can see in the box. Really disappointed.

Product was not as described. There were a number of flaws which led me to believe these were factory seconds. For example La Rochere Bee products has bee figures embossed on their sides. The bees have small lines representing their antennae and legs. These lines were missing. Additionally, the thickness of glass at the bottom of the carafes was very uneven, which is uncharacteristic of La Rochere. I've attached photos of a recently purchased La Rochere Pitcher which shows how the embossed bee is supposed to look and another photo of the Carafe which clearly shows the antennae and legs are not present. Can someone explain this to me?
