Perfect for what we needed
We built a small tea box for our daughter. The hinges of the flip lid seemed to be too loaded so we decided to support them a little with one of these. It worked perfectly.

Not strong/tight clasp

Did not suit me that much. Do not hold up the lid when trunk was bumped lightly.

trunk lid supports
I recently purchased a antique trunk to use as a coffee table and blanket storage. The trunk was missing the lid supports on each side of the lid. These supports were the perfect solution. They are not heavy duty but when used on both sides of the lid there is more than enough support for the lid.

These worked as expected and has proven to be very sturdy. I like the aged brass color... adds some class to whatever you install it on. Would highly recommend for your project.

Buy cheap, get cheap
First there are no instructions so it was a bit confusing to figure out what way they went. Then the first screw I went to drill, broke inside the wood and I couldn’t get it out! Very annoying.
