Is it as good as Autel? Great machine!
So, like many of you you're probably wondering should i get this or Autel or snap on. I'm here to try to help with that. I've played with a lot of different scan tools and i feel i have a good grasp if it's a good tool or not. so first snap on is off the list because you wont find that for this price point and ill be comparing it to the Autel mk808 since its in the same price range. to start off i got to say i'm really impressed with the launch crp909e for the price point it comes in and has a absolute ton of options. this will let you talk with essentially any control module that you need to. i've tested it out quite a bit and it really works well with your normal cars such as Honda, Mazda, Ford, Toyota, Nissan and etc. all though this is suppose to work with practically any brand really. honestly i trust that it would to haha. what really amazes me about this is when you do diagnostic which will be the main one you use i would assume it runs through all the modules extremely quick (refer to video) that smokes the autel. then on top of that it gives you a report that you can send to yourself to keep records of your customers cars or you can send a direct report to them to help show them what's going on. this feature is a very handy feature for me personally and anyone wanting to keep logs. So, im not here to just tell you it's all rainbows and sunshine because well it's not and the main thing the Autel beats it at is programming keys.... well in some cases for example i programmed a key using autel on the Mazda 3 (other cars are usually easier Mazda is just difficult). with it i had to put in the incode with a incode calculator i had to buy. well with this Launch crp909e all i had to do was put in the vin and it pulled it right up ready to program well i tried programming a new key (bad immobilizer) and it said it was successful where the autel said it had failed which I prefer the truth. but then i retried a few days later with the correct immobilizer and it worked correctly. so that's just something to keep a note of for the future. the user interface on this was super clean to me and very responsive. i really have enjoyed using for the time I've had it so far its worked like a champ. also i trust this seller i reached out with a little quirk and they replied back and helped me out. plus amazon wont let you have a bad experience. So what are the pros and cons compared to autel well with this the pros are: Faster diag speed you also have a lot more modules that communicate better with this compared to the same priced autel. for cons. the autel will tell you when it doesn't do something correctly (like saying a key is programmed) so in conclusion whether you choose autel or Launch you're not going to have a bad time. it is a absolute beast of a machine that i wish i had picked up when i first started instead of keep getting cheap different ones this is a one time purchase and your set. it can do anything a beginner to intermediate mechanic will need even good for pro's so long as you don't need bi directional scan tool. i hope this review is able to help someone out that is worried about it. this is a good scan tool and its a name you can trust.

Good addition to garage
This reader is a real step up from others I’ve used. Durable carrying case, instructions, variety of cables. Easy to read, touch screen display, and well designed gripability. I used this on a 2011 Rav 4 to run a system diagnostic test as well as to assess wheel speed functionality (i.e. validating all sensors were working as expected and troubleshooting to find one that might not be). The ability to record and save diagnostics is invaluable. I hit record, took the vehicle for a short drive, and then was able to play back the recording frame by frame. In doing this, I could compare multiple trending/charts to see each sensor side by side, temperatures, solenoid voltage, etc. Also, this is not a basic screen record function, but actually being able to toggle between charts as if you were driving/running the vehicle at that moment. I was even able to look back at error codes that weren’t showing up on the dashboard (airbag trouble code in this case). (Pictured). Also used it to reset a tire pressure sensor light. (Pictured). The Wi-Fi functionality is helpful for updates, sending reports, troubleshooting, etc. Touch screen functionality was also a nice change from alternative fixed-button options as those aren’t always intuitive to navigate. The large display paired with the touch screen functionality made this a seamless experience to use. Auto-VIN scan feature was nice for pulling initial/basic car stats. The auto save feature for past diagnoses is also helpful for being able to look back on prior results. All in all, a great tool.
