Well worth the money for that bokeh!
This lens is FANTASTIC! I've got it mounted on a Canon EOS 70D which is a crop sensor at APS-C but even still, it's working fine. The full manual control allows me to set things and not worry about it....but I wish it had auto focus too.The impressive part is the f1.5 which makes for an outstanding depth of field and this for sure, paired with the 70D gives STUNNING bokeh!Sharp in focus, stunning bokeh, manual controls, well built, and will work on a glidecam rig. I can't say enough good about this lens!

Great clarity and depth of field
This ismy first cine lense and it had definitely encouraged me to learn more about orderin operating my dslr in manual mode instead of auto. With a little practice you can get pictures with wonderful Depth of Field and crisp detail on your subject.

May Be Sharpest Rokinon Yet
For the money, it's really quite impressive. The focus is a little stiffer than my other Rokinon Cine lenses. But at the same time, I feel like this 50mm is a bit sharper than the other Rokinon Cine lenses (and I have several). So that is very good news! All the same, keep it around T2, folks. These inexpensive cine lenses just don't have great sharpness wide open.

Great Deal for the Price.. A few drawbacks
For the price, this is a great cine lens! You really can't get this kind of quality for the price anywhere else. Sharp image and I love how it is has a declicked aperture. The cons to this lens:The lens hood is terrible. It doesn't secure onto the front good at all... very loose. There is some color fringing that happens when things are out of focusIt isn't a true 50mm. It is probably 55mm-60mm. I compared this to a canon lens and it is slightly more zoomed in than the canon lens. There is a little focus breathing but not very noticeable. The Pros:You can't beat the price for how good of quality you get!The construction is really sturdyLove the declicked apertureLove the built-in focus gears for follow focusVery sharp! A little soft wide open but that's to be expected!Overall, for what you pay and what you get, this is a steal! I would highly recommend this to anyone who doesn't have the budget to get real cinema glass like Canon or Ziess lenses! They work really great with some minor flaws, but the pros out-weigh the cons by quite a bit!

but the 50mm has quickly become my favorite. Sharp edge to edge and much better color ...
I already had the 24, 35 & 85mm lenses in this lineup, but the 50mm has quickly become my favorite. Sharp edge to edge and much better color than many lenses in the same price range. I use this with a RED Scarlet and I think it stacks up against lenses many times the price.

Great value for the money.
I love the image quality and the "declicked" aperture ring. Focus ring is a little stiff but I'd rather it be stiff than to loose.
