Balanced Body Sitting Box Lite, Pilates Reformer and Floor Exercise Equipment, Pilates Workout Equipment for Home Gym or Studio

I waited a couple of years to buy this because I thought I wouldn't need or use it. This box fits my Balanced Body Allegro II reformer perfectly. I ordered it from Amazon due to free and faster shipping. Balanced Body's website said it may take 2 weeks to receive, and Amazon delivered it in less than 8 days with one day being a holiday. Shipping would have cost $21.80 from Balanced Body and was complimentary from Amazon. It came in a box within a box (the sitting box was in a Balanced Body Box, and that box was in an Amazon box delivered by UPS). Because the item was in a box within in a box, it was well protected and there was no damage, despite the item being of sturdy styrofoam-like material. I was familiar with the sitting box because a pilates studio that I have been to has them, so I knew what to expect. The sitting box is surprisingly light weight yet extremely sturdy. Some of the other sitting boxes in studios can be quite heavy and cumbersome. I know it was easy to put on the reformer correctly, because my husband took it upstairs and promptly put it on the reformer correctly (and he doesn't know anything about them). He said it was intuitive. It fits snugly over the shoulder rests and is very stable. The sitting box is 31 inches deep, 17 inches wide and 10 3/4 inches high and weighs 4 1/2 pounds. It is easy to remove because it is so lightweight and doesn't need anything to attach it to the reformer (it goes over the shoulder rests). It gives me many more exercise possibilities of using the reformer with attached tower than just the carriage/tower alone. It is amazing that such a lightweight sitting box can withstand so much body weight and yet be comfortable! It's a good value as a standard sitting box costs about $375. I can return this within 30 days at no charge, but I will be keeping it for a very long time.

I stalled buying this for years. I got the Pilates Chair and some Stroops that mimic a Pilates tower. Then I stalled on buying this. But it is fabulous. It is very light, made from styrofoam. But it works just like the ones in the studio. Adding this to my gym now allows me to do pull straps 1 and 2 at home. It also makes “tree” easier than on the chair. I use a couple of door stop handles in the metal stops on my stroops over-the-door anchor system and slip my foot into it for a strap. I’ve got a whole Pilates studio in my house now for much less than a tower and a reformer.

I use this sitting block with our Allegro reformer. It adds many more exercise possibilities to my regular routine. The box is light weight & designed to fit snugly over the shoulder rests so it is easy to handle and very stable. It isn't as durable as a block made of upholstered wood, but I expect it to last quite a long time and it would be affordable to replace if that becomes necessary.

Love that is light and a cheaper alternative to their other sitting box. Very happy with my purchase so far while using my reformer.

Better than expected. It's much easier to move around than a standard wooden box. I was worried it wouldn't fit over the shoulder rests of the AeroPilates 556, but it fits perfectly. I'm glad I ordered and it arrived super fast.

Works great on my Balanced Body IQ Reformer. I was worried it wouldn't work right or would be cheaply made The foam is dense and the box is very sturdy. I bought it on sale. The price motivated me to purchase it finally. $149 is a tad too high, but $99 made it feasible. Besides, I didn't pay much for my IQ Reformer and could not see spending more than I paid for it for the more expensive box. This box is perfect and does the job.

I must have missed the materials part of the description when I purchased this. This is made out of heavy, but durable styrofoam and is a great value compared to the $300 wooden, heavy sitting box. It is lightweight, easy to maneuver and you won't throw your back out lifting it up. It stays in place on the reformer and the floor - wherever you are using it.
