Just received this in the mail today. Immediately opened and I am impressed in many ways. The box is high quality. It is not veneer, it is not cheap and thin plywood. It is a real wood box with a high quality fitment. The wood seems to be burnt to accentuate the grain and sealed. The latch and hinges are brass. They look good and are sturdy.Opening the box reveals a thoughtful presentation of the contents. This box is pretty deep and some of the items are a little more difficult to remove if you have sausage fingers like me, but it isn't a big deal. The butane gun is a good metal design that has a bit of weight to it and a pretty finish. The stainless whiskey chillers are very beautiful and larger than my whiskey stones. I have not tested them yet, although these tend to be more than twice as effective as stones. I added one to my drink for show, but it had not been in my freezer long enough to chill completely.The directions are very well made and straightforward. Be sure to follow them. Do not overfill the gun as the butane will spill out and it is cold enough to flash freeze a witch's nipple. Do wait until the fuel has reached room temperature or it will not ignite reliably. Ask me how I know these things.The strainer that holds the wood chips did not let any of them through and was sized perfectly for all of my whiskey glasses. It will fit inside of the rim, not on top of the glass. This leaves enough room for the stylish cover to seal off the glass and keep the smoke in. I tried the Apple wood and everything worked very well. The instructions say to use a "pinch" of the wood. How much is ultimately up to you and how much smoke you want. This is something you will have to experiment with.I smoked a glass of Eagle Rare Kentucky Bourbon and this added a nice smokey flavor to it and a little bite reminiscent of a good cigar. As I did not use very much wood, the smoke mostly shows up as a smooth and subtle aftertaste.All in all, this is a great product I would recommend to anyone who is into whiskey, especially if they're also fond of cigars. This box will not look out of place next to a good humidor. There are other cheaper options out there but you're not going to get the quality of this one. This is a gift that can be used and appreciated for a very long time.

Great little kit for making smoked cocktails. Shipped quickly and includes everything described.You do have to fill the torch with butane as the seller says since they can’t ship it filled but that’s easy enough to do.The torch puts off a great flame, I was able to smoke a glass of bourbon nicely on my first attempt. Very easy to use.The box is nice enough to store it out in the open which is a plus.

The whole kit had a really nice quality feel to it and has been working great on smoking old fashions!I bought it for myself but it would make a great gift and has everything you need to add that smokey flavor.

How can you send a smoker kit with a torch that doesnt work

This kit is awesome! Comes with 4 wood chip tins, a torch, metal ice cubes (to avoid a watered down drink), tongs (to drop in your ice cubes), an infuser to burn the chips and hold in the smoke over your drink, and a nice storage box.Starting with the box, it is overall very nice but I thought it felt a little flimsy. Referring to the hinge. I do like the arrangement of the items inside their own "cubbies" so there is no shifting around when storing it or moving it to another location.The set includes wood chips to get you started. It's easy to use with the powerful torch and infuser which is presented well. Load up the desired chips, pour your liquor, top the glass and light. This traps the smoke in the glass and imparts a smokiness that enhances the taste and aroma of your beverage. The flavors mine came with are Oak, Pecan, Apple and Cherry. I've only tried the cherry so far. I mostly got this to serve drinks to friends over the holidays.I think this kit would make an excellent gift or a nice addition to your bar area for the occasional afternoon or evening drink. Everything here feels built to last with the exception of the storage hinge but this very well just be the one I received. Your mileage may vary.

It was very easy to use. enjoyed trying the different wood chips with my bourbon. packaging is great, very protective of the contents inside. Arrived in less than a week. my brother-in-law is looking into getting one now that he tried some of my smoked bourbon.
