It took just a few minutes to put it together. It’s a really sturdy design and the spikes are very strong. It was very easy to use and did the whole garden with minimal effort. I really liked that it came with 2 spare spikes as well.

For a very large garden, this obviously wouldn’t be any good, but the electric solid tine machines are very expensive if you want something that’s good. The cheap manual roller versions I find are useless unless the ground is already soft. Anyway I’ve used this a couple of times and with the right technique it’s pretty easy work for a fairly small garden - say 60 m². The technique I use (if ground quite firm) which may be wrong but works for me is I push the Tool in at an angle. This is about 30°, making sure though that my foot is pushing directly onto the blade cove not at another angle so as not to side pressure on the spikes. It goes in easier (especially on hard ground) because you’re going in a couple of spikes at a time. Then I just rock it over the other side to another 30° and pull it out. If the ground is not quite as firm then same thing but forward and back, not side to side, and this is much easier. For soft ground no real technique needed, but my ground is rarely soft. All very simple and rocking it of course it always gives it a little bit of a bigger hole as well, which I find helps when you’re putting wetting agent down. Takes a while but quite relaxing.

Easy to put together and you get a couple of spare spikes in case any need replacing in the future. Stores well in my garden storage locker (which is only big enough for mower, strimmer, tools and a couple of fold out chairs). Works well and is well made. I would say it is good value but you could spend more and get something better if you need to use this a lot or have a much larger garden. My garden is about 90x20 feet and is an irregular shape. It did take me quite a long time to use this tool to aerate the soil. A bigger item or even an electric/petrol one would have been quicker (but more expensive and harder to store). Would recommend for smaller gardens or where you won't do a lot of this year after year.

Expected more from the Lawn Aerator, it’s small & covers a small area, if you have a medium size lawn I would avoid, performs fine when the lawn is wet / soft, when the ground is dry barely scratches the lawn surface,

Stevig en degelijk product. Ik gebruik het voor een gazon van ongeveer 30m2 en ben dan een goed half uur bezig. Het is een mooi systeem om een paar keer per seizoen te beluchten. Het heeft massieve spikes, hierdoor zijn de gaten weer redelijk snel dicht. Persoonlijk vindt ik holle spikes beter omdat de gaten veel langer open blijven, maar is fysiek veel zwaarder in gebruik.

Ich bin begeistert, die Spikes sind sehr gut, dringen gut in den Boden ein, habe das Gefühl, dass die Durchlüftung gut wird, ich habe dann Sand nachgefüllt, da mein Boden recht lehmig ist. Man braucht auch keine besonderen Schuhe, steigt einfach drauf, das ist ausreichend für das Eindringen in den Boden. Schlappen würde ich allerdings vermeiden, damit man nicht abrutscht. Das Produkt lässt sich auch gut zusammenschrauben. Bei Regenwetter würde ich es nicht benutzen, da vom Rasen beim Rausziehen des Rasenbelüfters aus der Rasenoberfläche etwas mitgenommen wird, dies ist zu vermeiden, aber bei trockenem Boden geht das gut. Schnell geht das alles nicht, man muss schon Zeit und Geduld einplanen.
