I purchased this product to complete a costume look for an Adam Sandler themed party I attended. It worked perfectly! This has served as a multifunctional item since I was able to use it for its intended purposes afterwards. Like most mop heads, it was absorbent and easy to install. Would purchase again.

Previously bought mop heads were made of 75% cotton and 25% synthetic blend. Absorption in the beginning was average but soon diminished too very little. This mop is a big improvement. I tied knots in the string ends, preventing entanglement and sides easily separate for hand wringing. Take end of string and overlap it and insert through the hole to form a pretzel and pull tight on the knot. Now it’s a 5 star. Update, 8-12-23 It appears every strand has a colored synthetic core the cotton is bound to, giving it strength and durability. Saw several cotton mop heads at thrift stores lacking a synthetic core fiber. Yes, you can see the core fibers in the image provided.
