Fuji Merchandise TAIYAKI MAKER, One Size, Black

There's a Japanese food blog that I love. One of the recipes is for taiyaki, which I'd never heard of before, but I wanted to try. Bought this pan thru Amazon when I couldn't find it locally. It's a great pan. Easy to use, easy to clean. It cooked my taiyaki perfectly. I was worried that the taiyaki might stick. It did not stick at all. It came out of the pan easily. Very worthwhile purchase.

Excellent taiyaki pan. It's sturdy but also thin so it heats quickly and cooks quickly - does not require a ton of heat and still cooks great. You have to get the hang of it, though - I usually do a little pre-heat on both sides (they say not to heat empty, but if you start cold you don't get the right cook on the first side - just like a waffle). A little butter keeps anything from sticking (have not had any sticking) and produces nice brown outside. Flip over every minute or so while cooking and only takes a few minutes. Easy to use.

Very cheap but very reliable product. Durable. I can see why this one is a little cheaper than all the rest though due to the lack of a lipped edge - so if you overfill the area by any amount it will absolutely pour all over your stove and get batter all over your oven / burner. If you do too little - then they don't come out right. But depending on your recipe - the ingredients will puff and force it out of the ends / edges. It takes a few times to get use to or it just requires a LOT of cleanup afterward. Not bad for the price though.

I have a Japanese friend in college, and he had me try some taiyaki (bought at a convenience store frozen) and it was so good! I love sweet red bean and craved more taiyaki, but was sad to see the store had closed. So I bought this in order to make some homemade taiyaki. Making the bean paste took hours but it was delicious. Then I made the batter. In order to cook the taiyaki, I just put the griddle on top of the stove burner. Pour the batter until about halfway from the top, put in a little filling, and cover that with batter. Then close the pan and wait a few minutes for that side to brown and flip. I'm so happy I got this. It was worth having taiyaki again.

the description says “material: ceramic” this item is 100% not ceramic. in Japanese on the package it clearly states that it is made of aluminum with a teflon coating.

My pan came with a big visible scratch on it. Fortunately it wasn't in an area on the fish itself so I decided to keep it. Overall it works pretty well. If there wasn't a big scratch I would have given it 5 stars.

Perfect product!!! Excellent service! It works very well, ver easy to use and to clean, it doesn't stick at all! Finally we can have home-made 'Taiyaki'! Just a reminder for you: It doesn't work on induction cooker, so you have to prepare camping-gas cooker as how I did. We are very very happy with this product!!! So I even immediately ordered another one for my friend.

It arived today and i orderd it 3 weeks ago it came 3 weeks ahead of the estimated arival window seeing is how this shiped from china to america that is some extremely impressive shiping speed so color me impressed. The taiyaki maker its self is realy well made for something of equal quality in a cooking store in america i feel i would have to pay close to 50 dallors or more so this was a hidden jem. The item makes two taiyaki and the griddle part of the maker is big enough to fit on a gas stove burner. Thats what this should be used on make shure to use cooking spray and cook on meduim to low heat you can make taiyaki with. (Sweet red bean paste / chocolate filling / cheese filling / sweet potato paste) these are the most commen fillings for taiyaki.

Pour le petit prix, je ne m'attendais pas à quelque chose de mirifique, mais le moule remplit parfaitement sa fonction. Petite bride bien commode pour retourner en cours de cuisson, revêtement anti adhésif de bonne qualité. Je m'en sers sur feu gaz, pas de soucis au bout de 4 utilisations. Cependant, je ne me risquerais pas à le mettre au lave vaisselle. Seuls bémols : l'ouverture du moule est bridée à 90 degrés et les deux demis moule ne sont pas dissociables. Par ailleurs, vu les dimensions du moule, il convient de prêter TRES attention sur une plaque gaz en raison du risque de basculement sur l'armature du brûleur.

Parfait pour confectionner des taiyaki ou Bungeo-Ppang (gaufre en forme de poisson fourrée à la pâte de haricots rouges sucrée). Après, on peut le fourrer à tout ce que l'on aime comme du chocolat ! Cet appareil est génial pour réaliser ces délicieux petits poissons !

A voir quand le remboursement sera effectué pour en racheter un en espérant qu'il n'arrive pas cassé à nouveau.] Mise à jour: Le vendeur a été très réactif et le remboursement rapide. Chacun de mes messages à reçu une réponse dans les 12h, et ils m'ont proposé un arrangement qui me convenait. Ils se sont excusés que le produit soit arrivé endommagé et ils ont pris en compte mes remarques.

Article arrivé dans le délai prévu, conforme à la description et fonctionne bien. Je pense que cette poêle ne convient pas à des plaques à induction.
