Gryffindor Sword Letter Opener

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my son-in-law. It was a huge hit.

This thing works great. It’s definitely not sharp but it’s a letter opener. If I had kids n they grabbed it they could put an eye out but definitely no skin penetration would occur. It’s a LETTER opener! It’s a safe LETTER opener. Not supposed to be sharp. You slide it in the letter and angle it up and it cuts it open as it should. Now that explaining it’s not supposed to be your knife in kitchen (cuz You could use that if you want sharp) it looks amazing. The detail is out of this world and it looks perfect. No flaws. Looks great at my stationery desk. I get compliments all the time from company.

Bought this letter opener for my daughter who is a huge Game of Thrones fan. She absolutely loves it. Good quality water opener works great. Also looks great just sitting on a shelf as a decoration.

I ordered this as a Christmas gift for someone I often write letters to. I know that the product description gives dimensions, but without anything to really compare it to, I thought it would be smaller than it is. I was quite pleased with how sturdy and large it actually is. The detail on the sword is great, and the metallic parts look nicely made. The sword fits well into the Lion's "hands" or paws or whatever you want to call them. The base is less round than I thought, so expect more of an oval and a flatter object than is really shown. Despite that difference, I absolutely love this item and can't wait to give it as a gift.

This thing is so awesome!!! It is really cute, has a lot of detail and feels VERY solid! It doesn't feel like a cheap piece of junk or like it'd easily get bent. It has some weight to it. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and this silly conversation piece really makes opening junk mail relatively fun xD The ONLY thing that surprised me, which isn't even a negative, simply a surprise.. is that it's smaller than I gathered from the picture. The actual Griffindor sword holder is about 5 1/2 inches off the table and with the sword in place, it totals at a lil over 9 inches. But it honestly feels like an appropriate size.

Metal. Sharp for letters. Perfect size and convenient for use. 4 stars cause the handle was off and I had to super glue it back on. I use it often and love it.

Looking past the outer packing - it's another plain white box with no slipcase, I'm really impressed with both the stand and especially the sword. The stand is well made, solid, and very detailed, and the sword is very special. I'm no Harry Potter fan myself, and I only vaguely recall what the sword looks like in the films, but the detail on the hilt and the overall quality is very high, and will definitely slice through those letters.

Metaryel olarak çok sağlam ama ürün sadece kendi ambalajında geldi. Hasar alsa extra koruyacak bir kutu yada köpük yok. Çoğu ürün amazon kutusunda gelirdi bu noble kutusu ile geldi. Kılıç kısmı her ne kadar mektup açacağı da olsa biraz kalın olmalıydı. Çay kaşığı gibi. İnce ve kısa. Resimde heybetli duruyor ama reelde oldukça küçük.

Me lo compre por que entre lo friky que soy y el no tener un abridor de cartas, encontre el producto ideal... me sorprendio lo grande y detallado que es. Al principio tuve dudas de si comprarlo o no, por el precio, pero viendo las caracteristicas que posee, confirmo que fue una buena compra.
