I have no idea, but personally I don't wash my hair everyday.

Maybe i never tried. But it worked ok on my hair scalp.

Will the spray run off the spot if you sweat profusely?

No. I use it at work where I sweat and never had a problem with it. It doesn't come off till you shower. But hair spray is a must.
