It does not fit when hard drive attached.Simply too long.Sent back.Purchased a tiny adapter that works perfectly from ebay.

Don't fit!The part fits perfectly in the MacBook, but the M.2 doesn't. The M2 ssd protrudes about 5-8 mm. The adapter part should have been fitted at the top. Useless.

MacBook Air didn’t recognize drives connected to this adapter. Purchased another one that worked.
