very impressive bag - not sure the concealed carry issue is relevant in uk - but not to detract from first rate quality of product - 5.11 are a reliable company

I use this pack every day to haul my work laptop back and forth. I easily holds that with room to spare for EDC essentials. If I travel I can also fit my personal chromebook in there. I rarely use to roll up closureasthe zipper is more convenient but it is a nice option. The numerous external pockets hold a variety of items from my mouse and power cords to spare glasses and my contact lens basics. The only thing really missing is an external water bottle pocket but that is minor compared to the many positives of this bag. I also like to subtle design and lack of obvious 5.11 branding that would mark you as "packing." Very greyman.

This is a well built piece of equipment. Not overly tactical looking. I use this pack to carry a large frame Glock in the quick access pocket with no imprinting on the outside. The bottom pouch is perfect for an IFAK pouch. The only thing I don't like is you have no place to strap a light jacket to. I can live with no outside straps. It could keep you from accessing your pistol in a hurry. The black and gray pack is less tactical looking if you truly want to go covert. Plenty of space for a laptop and water bottle.

I really wanted to like this pack, but after using it daily for several months I've come to be really annoyed by some serious design flaws and I have stopped using this pack now all togeather.1. The sun glasses pocket hangs bright in the middle top of the mouth and it blocks you from being able to stuff much of anything past it if there is anything in the pocket.2. The laptop pouch hangs wide open and does not have a Velcro strap to hold it closed right against the back wall of the pack. This in conjunction with the sunglasses pocket above on the opposite side make it even more impossible to put anything in the bag.3: If you have anything in the side pockets it makes putting anything in the main compartment even more difficult in conjunction with the two above listed problems.Overall it is very difficult to get anything in and out of the main compartment quickly or easily.The pros:It it made from great quality materials and it fits my pack comfortably and allows for good airflow. It also looks really nice. The concealed carry pocket is also really well constructed for ergonomic deployment and use of a Velcro backed holster. The usefulness of this part of the pack is why I have it 3 stars instead of two.

Roll top back pack is great for hiking or something where you wont need to access often. Not for everyday carry. Admin pocket is hard to get anything in and out of. Impossible to get it to lean up against anything and stay upright.

THIS IS THE BEST CRAFTSMANSHIP PUT INTO THIS BAG, VERY WELL DESIGNED, WORKED GREAT FOR FLY FISHING IN BEAR COUNTRY.
