A year ago I had noticed an uptick on mosquitoes and ordered a lesser brand zapper. That one was returned quickly and replaced and returned again in a matter of a couple weeks. I finally ran across the Black + Decker Bug Zapper and am so happy I did. The product comes with a second replacement bulb to attract bugs. It’s been one year now on the first bulb and I just replaced it. This zapper is set on a timer to run all night long - for a year - and it kept on working. At one point I looked over at it wondering why the light had faded to discover that so many bugs got zapped, they were starting to block the light. I have canned air and blew out the zapper and it’s good as new. Price point is excellent for a working zapper that gets the job done. I have the half acre sized unit in a small back yard and it’s been doing exactly what I wanted.

I wish I had bought this earlier. Has been in my backyard running 24/7 for a month now and has made a serious dent in the mosquito and moth population. This thing will stay on for the whole summer for sure.I use a leaf blower to clean it once a week or so.Still on the first lamp, glad it came with a spare.only thing I dont like is the hanger on top it seems very flimsy and I dont want the thing to fall down so I just put it on a table. Also the power cord is super short so you need an extension cord.Otherwise, works great. Higjly recommended. Sorry, bugs.

Old one on the left. New one on the right. I'm sure they changed the length of the cord so they can make five more cents per sale. But it clearly doesn't reach any more! Even with the cord pulled straight. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE CHANGE. Sending it back. Loved it before 100% that is why I purchased it again. Now I do not recommend. What a shame.

This is a very sturdy, oversized zapper that works well. The first 2 nights, I thought it wasn't zapping anything, but I checked it on the third day and there were at least 75 various bugs stuck on the light grid. This model is almost completely silent -- if you're right next to it and a bug arrives, there's a very faint "buzz". My other 2 zappers make a very loud "pop" sound when a pest is destroyed, which I prefer. But if like them silent, this is a good one.

I only gave this a 4 because the bulb that comes with & including the spare are both the full length of the unit, if you have to order a new bulb the length is several inches shorter! You can barely hold it in position to push it into the connections. Not sure why they would do this.

Easy to hang. I used a 7’ shepherd’s hook. Started attracting & killing flying insects the minute I plugged it in. I haven’t cleaned it yet. But seems easy enough to take apart & clean.

This was PERFECT for Easter. It definitely cut way way down on the flies and kept them away from us and the food. So glad a purchased this. It will definitely have a permanent home on the back patio because flues are horrible this time of year. I even brought it inside for a little bit in the evening to get the flies that had made it inside. The little trap door is easy to clean and get out all the fried bits. It does come in its original box, not an Amazon box, if that's something you care about, and it is quite large. I definitely recommend this for your porches, patios, and campsites (if you have electric hook up)!

I ordered this product becuz it said it comes with an extra light bulb for free. I received it and there was no extra bulb with it. I have since then, placed a return/replacement process in on the item. I just received the replacement item today, and guess what?....STILL no extra free bulb with it. That free extra bulb it says it comes with is the main reason why I chose this item in particular. I'm not pleased nor happy with this order, now twice, not coming with the free extra bulb. Disappointing and sloppy. Smh.
