Good quality
No fillers or salt in Rani spices. Thanks for the honest products. When will you make butter chicken mix?I like the tandoori masala but it has too much hing. Makes it sharp tasting.

Delicious
Mild for Indian chili powder

excellent flavor at the hot end of mild.
Sadly, this is too hot for me. It's close to a jalapeno in heat. For real hot pepper fans, it's definitely mild. But I've become a bit averse to capsaicin in my old age. OTOH It really does have excellent flavor and is brilliant red in color.

Bit of spice without the burn.
Nicely spicy but nothing to fear. Made my own spice pickle mix combining it with chaat masala and adding to hot oil and vegetables (also garlic and fresh ginger). Very, very good. Will try in other dishes.

Love this spice but go easy on this spice as it is really hot.

Perfect spice for tikka masala
Beautiful color with a spicy kick. I use this whenever I make tikka masala and it’s absolutely delicious. The spiciness is similar to cayenne so if you’re not good with spicy use sparingly

Nice "hot" peppers
The peppers are great. Just add warm water to softened it up. Depending on how hot you want your dishes to be...,for me and my husband 4 peppers are more than spicy for us. I do not consider this peppers to be mild, maybe for others who can tolerate really spicy food, this is mild for them, but the 4 pieces I put in my curry is very spicy for us. I can feel the heat at the back of my mouth. It is "spicy"Maybe part of it also is that I used curry meat powder . Next time...I will only use 3. We are not really into sooo spicy curry. Anyway, These peppers are really good...the color it gives to the dish is more intense than any other peppers I use. As for the taste...well, dried peppers do not give the same flavor as the fresh ones. All I can say is it's hot! Goodluck you guys! Happy cooking and gooood eating.

Kashmiri powder
Finally I found one that is more like a Kashmiri powder rather than just Chilli peppers. I should say that this products add redness to your food and it has some flavor. I love them, just that ut is little bit pricey.

“Low heat” is disputable
I learned there is a difference in Mexican Chili powder and Indian in terms of heat and flavour. The colour on this powder is beautifully rich and vibrant. Smells good. Kashmiri Chili powder is supposed to be low heat/mild.Very naively I used it in a homemade fajita spice blend I like. And I like to do a bulk batch when I blend spices. My recipe called for 3/4 c of Chili powder. I still had some of the Mexican Chili powder and used over 1/2 a cup of it. The remainder of less than 1/4 c (even reducing it a bit further because I was nervous about the heat of this one) was the Rani Kashmiri Chili powder. Finished our blend used many times.Cooked up some fajitas using a portion of the blend for seasoning. And wow, after a couple of bites my mouth was burning. Hubby’s too. Added a few drops of lemon juice to decrease heat and some sour cream. Still burning hot. Stomach issues later.I’ll give the remainder of the blend to our kids who don’t mind a lot of heat.I’m not sure if our bag of Kashmiri spice was somehow mislabelled or mixed with a higher heat Chili powder, but all of that to say - I won’t be purchasing this kind again. Lesson learned.
