It's a fine pen. Best ever? Who knows?
I read a review of this pen in Wirecutter that made it sound like this pen could save the world. I really like the pen and am giving it a 5 because there are no problems with it - it absolutely does what it is supposed to do. But somehow the Platonic Ideal of a pen would have something ... extra. I don't know what, but more. Maybe a touch pad stylus on top. Maybe a way to get blue without getting red and black at the same time. Fortunately my young adult grands like red and black, and read the same Wirecutter article, so they were happy too. So. It's a fine pen, I like it swell and have nothing bad to say about it. Just can't rave about it being the finest of all possible fine pens in the known universe.

Love these pens!
I love the Uniball Jetstream pen! The weight of the pen is just right, not too light or heavy, and I feel like I have good control of the pen while writing. The ink flow is smooth, not "skritchy" - writing feels effortless. When I let others borrow them, I never seem to get them back! LOL

These pens have the best ink
I am upgrading from Bic Cristals and for my handwriting style, I would say these pens are great but not perfect. I usually have problems with gel pens getting ink all over the place and getting all over my hand. I also don't have the cleanest handwriting. These pens are great because the ink is reasonably thick but at the same time it dries almost instantly and doesn't glob up. In other words, it never gets on my hands. In both of these respects, this pen is better than Bic Cristals. The only thing I don't like is that where the rubber body of the pen connects to the bottom, where the pen pokes out, there is a not smooth transition between the silver plastic and the blue rubber, and this has a habit of nicking my cuticles. I've learned to hold the pen higher up so that this doesn't happen but it's still a little annoying in the first place. I think what I will do is get a better pen that fits my hand, and then fill that pan with the ink cartridges from this type.

Writing is Not Smooth
Although I received a Different Package other than what was advertised on Amazon's Website, By and Large, the pens write Okay, but occasionally they seem to stutter and FEELS ROUGH. 3 Assorted Colors, But The Red Color is NOT, Dark Red, as I expected it to be.

Self-professed pen snob is delighted
I am a pen snob. Period. I'm picky AF about what I will use, and select a pen based on what I'm writing and my mood that day. Hey - I'm a delightful person - and pretty easy-going on most things - but don't F with my pens... OK? :)I have found some gel pens that really brought a smile to my face, but in the ball-point category, I was disappointed time and time again. Finding something that provided a nice line, smooth writing experience, that didn't end up leaking, and was comfortable to hold seemed like an impossible task - until I found these. I'm in love. I immediately purchased more for my brother-in-law and a friend - who also have this pen-related illness - and they were equally impressed. It is all the 3 of us use now - and we hide them from colleagues and family members. These belong in the hands of those who appreciate them - the rest? Let them have Bic. I said what I said. No judgment, please. :) You'll be happy with this purchase.

I thought it was over hyped. I was wrong.
I keep a click on my shirt pocket at all times and rely on them - along with a pad of sticky notes. This has been part of my workflow for more than 30 years. I've grown increasingly frustrated with the smearing and blobbing from the different pens I've tried, so on a recommendation from Wirecutter I got a pack of Uniball pens. Best pen I've ever used for less than $50. Smooth flow, clean lines, no smearing. Period. Can't recommend them enough.

Critic's choice pen
This is the Wirecutter's choice for disposable pen, and for good reason. It's not fancy, but it has a smooth-flowing quick-drying low-smudge wash-resistant ink, and just enough surface grip to keep the point on the page and avoid careless or messy strokes. The ergonomic textured grip runs the full length of the pen, the weight feels solid without being effortful to wield, and the mechanism gives a sturdy and satisfying click. Hype pushed these to $4/ea but currently at $3/ea they are a good value.
