I have used this book for two decades in a high school class I teach. This text is a classic, but now they have gone and changed it so that it's unrecognizable from the previous editions. For example, they put in material on comparative government systems that those of us who teach American politics don't need. The section on Congress is quite thin, and they've added fluff on state and local government that is useless to me. I've only got a few years till retirement, but obviously I need to find a new book to use! I'm tremendously disappointed.

I totally agree with the first review. It has much of the old material still written in, but has added a lot of fluff that I really think will confuse a lot of my students. Also, I am not finding the supplemental worksheets, etc., easy to find nor really ample.

this is a used book but as advertised. The cover and pages arrived in acceptable condition. Needed 2 copies and each one was shipped 2 different addresses. Both copies arrived quickly. SO grateful I was able to find them online.
