STAUB Cast Iron Tajine, 28 cm, with Ceramic Lid, Induction

Wow ,wow ,wow looks better in real then on the photo. I haven't used it yet but very happy to own this and the price was good too!(that why I bought it and can't wait to cook with it.Great dish. REALLY.

I was initially cautious about buying this item as the description only stated a size of 28x28x20cm and a 2L capacity. Without physically seeing the actual item, I was confused as to why the volume was 2L whereas other Tagines were of similar size but larger capacity. However, after reading good reviews, I took a punt! Upon arrival, I thought it did look a bit smaller than I hoped which is when I took some measurements. From my many years of working in a cookware/hardware shop, it is generally assumed pan measurements are taken from the inside diameter. The 28cm advertised is actually the outside diameter, thus making it look a little small due to a 1cm lip. After trying a recipe, there was enough capacity for my family of 3 but could do 4 at a push. There was no issues with it working on our induction hob. I've added some measurements to one of Amazon's photos to give a clearer idea of size.

Great quality Tajine

Excellent quality and meals have been amazing

I bought this tagine to experiment with the cooking style (I usually cook casseroles in the oven with a le Creuset pot, but wanted to try something more economical). The first time I used this, I overloaded it and a lot of liquid bubbled out onto to top of my stove - the lamb was beautifully tender though). The next time. I was careful to cook with less liquid and to monitor the ingredients carefully. The result was outstanding. I have a number of casseroles, but this is the one I will use on my stovetop from now on - the list of recipes is endless, and it really does seal the flavour of your food in. It is very easy to reduce your fruit/vegetables to mush, so remember to add them later! This is a perfect size for one greedy person or two normal ones!

Quality item. Cooks very well but pay attention to comments about size. It really only cooks single portions. This is fine for me though.

However terribly small. Returned and got a refund easily though

Ce plat à tagine est livré dans un emballage très protecteur. Bien fabriqué avec de bonnes finitions il est également très beau. A l'usage et sur une plaque à induction les tagines mijotent tout doucement et sont délicieux. En plus c'est d'un usage très convivial pour un repas partagé avec des amis.

Size does matter...

Excellent little pot. Great manufacturing quality and is beautiful. Just be careful to not chip the enamel on the base edges with the lid or metal tools. Use a ruler or tape measurer to make a cardboard or paper cutout in the diameter of this before buying. Compare the size to your other pans. It is small. It is cute. Not sure why the listing is in Japanese but it arrived to my door without damage Very fun to cook small meals in, which is the whole point. Don't get this unless you're looking for a very small fun cookware to enjoy. I'd recommend getting a nice stainless steel frypan over this if you're on a budget. This is definitely a fun luxury thing. It fits a few chicken thighs fine. It also looks great on the stove!

He usado la tagine para hacer cous cous ( aquí no me hizo mucha falta la tapa) pero en la base se me hizo muy bien la comida. También hice un pollo tandoori a fuego muy lento y quedo espectacular. El pollo muy tierno. Es muy bonita, buen acabada ,con buena relación calidad- precio . Para mi sola y otra persona más la capacidad es muy buena.
