Insurrection II Wild for Men 3.0oz EDT by Reyane

As an avid fragrance user and a long time fan of the Thierry Mugler 'Pure' range for men, and having written extensive reference pieces on the history of those fragrances online, I came to this fragrance after seeing numerous reviews and online videos. My favourite Mugler was PURE HAVANE, which was first released in May 2011 as a one year limited edition with a Cuban cigar label and in 2012 in the USA. Due to popularity - a 4.3 rating on Fragrantica) and sales success, a new batch and box style was released in 2014 and then the first reformulation in 2015 and again in 2016 with the second reformulation released in 2018 before being discontinued. In February 2023 prices had soared, with boxed original Havane cigar labelled ones commanding up to £350, and reformulated ones up to £200! Reviewers I followed had raved at this Reyane Tradition INSURRECTION II WILD, first released in 2013 and how it is so close to Havane with it's cherry-like, honey and tobacco vibe with a tonka and vanilla drydown, but unlike in the USA where it sold for $20 initially and later around $40, in the UK it was harder to obtain and could fetch higher prices. I bought a bottle, not expecting it to come anywhere near the gorgeous aromas and complexity of Pure Havane, which by the way is my all time favourite fragrance and was my signature scent. Spoiler alert: Insurrection II Wild is totally awesome, addictive, intoxicating and easily as good as reformulated Pure Havane, possibly as good as the original formula, but with a few differences. Initial sprays are a touch more synthetic than Havane, but very rapidly that gorgeous cherry aroma wafts into place, and here with Insurrection II Wild, you can still smell that addictive aroma all day long, whereas with Havane reformulations it goes on a wander within an hour on my skin. No cherry is listed, the main accords are tobacco, honey, vanilla, sweet and spicy notes, tonka beans, cacao and woody notes. Give Insurrection II Wild an hour and the mids are exquisite, I catch a waft of it all the time and it is truly a beautiful scent, taking me straight back to Pure Havane. I am a fairly heavy sprayer, but it is not offensive, nor a room filler, even though it projects well and get's you noticed and brings the compliments. On my skin I get a solid four to five hours before it gently moves towards a softer projection, but is still there when I go to bed and can last easily over seven hours. Sillage is perfect in my opinion and the slightly Vanilla tonka dry-down still with that gorgeous cherry, honey and slight tobacco cocktail leaves such a pleasant, comforting trail. Pure Havane in original formulation perhaps had a more tobacco aroma, and to my nose perhaps Insurrection II Wild is a touch more adult or grown up, but these two are so similar, and yet with a few differences which means there is a place for both in your collection should you wish. The price is crazy, still available at lower prices than Pure Havane was originally, and far superior to the weak reformulations, this is a no brainer. After my initial purchase I ordered several more with a November 2021 batch code For those like me who lament the loss of Pure Havane, and refuse to pay ridiculous prices to obtain thirteen year old bottles nowadays, rejoice.... a new king is born that will evoke memories of Pure Havane and make you feel special for a whole lot less money. All hail the new king!

Up points: Nice Smell for evening, once the top very sweet minty liquorice note wears off , with good longevity, Reminds me of pure Havana which is much more expensive…so, I am surprised it doesn’t cost more, as does smell better than some premium brands products. Down points: It does start of a little too sweet, for my taste, but that’s just me, however I’m sure others may love it. I would add also that it’s a bit Heavy for day time work use…. But overall, top marks when you combine the smell with the price, I would definitely buy it again

A milder version of Mugler's Pure Havane. Impressive presentation &decent performance of about 6 hours longevity with an hour of solid projection.

Absolutely love this. I thought I was going to have to pay a fortune to get my favourite fragrance back and yet here it is. I always get loads of compliments from people when wearing it.

I kid you not. I have a number of fragrances across various niche, designer, and cheapies. This is right up there with the best of the best!!! Unheard of value.

Por 30 euros es una magnífica fragancia inspirada en otras como Naxos y Pure Havanne, la primera carísima y la segunda descontinuada y casi imposible de encontrar ya. Olor delicioso y rendimiento aceptable teniendo en cuenta lo que vale.

un ottimo profumo dove il connubio tabacco vaniglia primeggia per tutta la sua evoluzione , ha anche una particolare boccetta dal bel design ed una bella scatola rigida a forma di libro che lo protegge dunque adatto anche per un bel regalo magari di natale visto che sicuramente è un profumo adatto per l'inverno , naturalmente deve piacere la nota di tabacco sicuramente molto virile addolcita da una intensa vaniglia,ha un'ottima persistenza e sulla mia pelle lo sento bene per 5/6 ore , questo profumo è quasi sconosciuto nel mercato italiano e non penso si trovi nelle profumerie fisiche , personalmente penso abbia senso comprarlo quando viene messo in vendita attorno ai 25€/30€ non di più .

Delicioso aroma de tabaco y miel, elegante nada empalagoso perfecto para uso en épocas de frío, eventos formales, noches especiales. La proyección es buena la primer hora y después se vuelve un perfume más íntimo dejando una burbuja personal deliciosa con una duración de 6 hrs. La presentación es de calidad, la botella es ergonómica y bella, la tapa es metálica y todo grita lujo. Su caja es rígida y viene con una muestra de otra línea de esta marca.
