Lily's Kitchen Ancient Grains Rustic Chicken Pie Dry Dog Food - 7KG

My 13 yr old dog is in such good health and I reckon a lot of that is - like humans - down to diet and exercise. He loves his food. I give Lily's Complete Dry food to him during the week (morning and afternoon) with any left over veg we might have. He scoffs it down. At the weekend I tend to give hm Lily's can or fresh meat + veg. The ingredients list is impressive and it smells fine.

This is a high quality, premium dog food brand which has proven very popular with my test subject, a one year old female Labrador. My review item was the 7kg adult bag of ‘Rustic Chicken Pie’. The bag is reassuringly strong, but easy enough to open, and once opened the bag remains happily ‘upright’ make it easy to store; it is also easy to fold the top shut to keep the food fresh. I introduced this new food by mixing it in with the Labrador’s current, rather plain looking, food, increasing the ‘dosage’ of the new food over the course of a week. The Lily’s Kitchen food has been very well received - I couldn’t quite commit to testing it myself - and one occasion the Labrador carefully picked out each piece of her new food, leaving the bowl full of her old, dull fayre. Without giving too much detail, the Lily’s Kitchen dog food has kept my subject, well, regular, with no noticeable change of pattern from her previous main food. She happily tucks into a bowl of the new food even when it has been sitting around ready to eat for hours. Overall I think this is an excellent brand of dog food, and if the Labrador could talk I’m sure she would say the same. I am happy to give the Rustic Chicken Pie variant (adult, 7kg) a high recommendation.

Something I love about Lily's Kitchen Dog Food is that it is made of REAL food, and all of their food range are noteworthy and trustworthy. My dog has adored this dog food for the last 2 weeks and a simple shake of the bag will have him running and sliding around the house to come to his food bowl. We received a jumbo 7kg bag which is a lot of food! I was initially concerned about the freshness going weird but it closes very well and hence freshness is preserved. The food doesn't have a horrible smell and evidently it tastes amazing as my fussy-eater dog loves it! I have also noticed an improvement in my dogs fur and general wellbeing. It is clear that his coat is so much more healthier and less dry. He also seems so much more alert during the day and is far more rested during the day and hence less restless. In many ways, this dog food has changed my dogs life for the better and I have Lily's Kitchen to thank for this! Overall, a 5 star natural dog food by Lily's Kitchen, worth every penny! My dogs usually eat this with gusto - not sure if the recipe has changed or they're just bored but they're not as excited by it as usual, although they are still eating it.
