Excellent product. Don’t usually review but these are so good. Had a major problem with flies when doors open in conservatory - we’re surrounded by fields - on a hot day regularly hoovering up 100s of flies 2/3 times a day....slightly tarnishing a beautiful day. Tried a number of cheaper products (sonics, fly traps etc) but not with any great success. With warm weather approaching again decided to bite the bullet, and bought two last week. Yes, an expensive outlay but absolutely worth the money. Arrived next day, fitted within an hour (not a natural DIYer), no problem. Used nano tape and 1” screws/rawl plugs, the ones included were too long for the location. And Hey Presto! The doors have been open all day several times since fitting and not had to Hoover once! Problem solved. They also look attractive, and don’t block the view. Think it is the shimmering of the light that keeps the flies away as much as being a barrier. An additional plus is that if it is breezy/windy they act as a windbreak. Also bought two metal tie backs for when not in use, perfect (superglued the curtains together so they don’t slide). If you’re OK with the price, our experience is this will solve your fly problem.

I have wanted one of these since last year but just wasn't convinced it would be up to the job, and I feared wasting my money, as it's not cheap.However, I since looked again, read all the reviews and bit the bullet. I am so glad I did. It arrived super fast and my dad fitted it today. It took him 10 minutes. He had to cut off 19cm, as our door measures 80cm, but the length was perfect - bang on. It was fitted to a UPVC frame - I was unsure if it would work (some UPVC being hollow) but it did, and we had no problems. Drilled 2 pilot holes and screwed in - sorted!Every summer as soon as the door is open, within literally 5 seconds the flies come in...drives me mad. Well this has been up all day and the door open and not one single fly has been seen or heard, amazing. I am thrilled to bits. This is worth every penny to keep those nasty flies and other bugs out. It is so nice to be able to have the door open all day without that problem. We have 3 cats - one was going in and out straight away, totally not phased. The other two (siblings and of the same strange nature) have had to be coaxed out, they are still getting used to it and not liking it. But in time I am sure they will be fine.This is a quality made item and it looks very stylish, it adds a really smart touch to the kitchen. I like how you can still see through it, a bonus, as I like to see the garden.Buy it, you won't be disappointed!UPDATE - 1 month on (door open all day until around 10pm at night) and not a single fly - this door chain is amazing! In the current heat-wave we are experiencing this has been a saviour!!

This is a high quality fly screen. It is well made, easy to fit and seems to reduce the number of flies entering the house over a screen with more flimsy strands that can blow open in the wind and get wrapped around you as you walk through. I would not pay the full price and £75 is on the limit but it is still recommended.ProsWell made. Will last forever.Easy to fit and remove; just drill two holes.More effective because of the heavier chain strands that do not blow open in a breeze and their weight tends to cause them to slip back into place quickly when you are walking through the screen. All of this reduce the chances of flies passing through.No Tangles. I find it easy to get tangled up in flimsy screens, especially when passing through with cups or plates. The chains tend to brush aside and slip off me much more effectively.More light. The chains being links and reflective metal seem to let more light in and definitely increases visibility through the screen.Looks good.ConsQuite bulky so not as easy to store.The screen is a good length but if you can't fit it an inch or two above you door it may be too short. Could do with being a bit longer to be more flexible.Expensive, but the best fly screen I have used. Would think twice about paying more.May be a bit more intimidating to sensitive dogs. Our fairly bold retriever will pass through it, but he has to think about it.

This is a good quality product and arrived well packaged.Surprisingly weighty even though made of aluminium - but its overall weight does indicate that the gauge of the chains are of decent construction and makes them hang / fall back nicely.Very easy to fit as just 2 simple multi-purpose / orientation brackets although, as others have mentioned, the holes in the brackets are way oversized and washers are required for any normal screw sizes.As for the item's intended purpose - we have not had any flies pass through the screen that we can tell. In the current UK heat wave, most windows are open but there are far less flies in the house since we fitted this screen.The product seems rather pricey at first sight, but these chain screens used to be a lot more expensive as originally aimed at the commercial catering / food market. We will not be wasting anymore money on the black plastic mesh magnetic closure screens.Oh, and the chain length is very easily adjusted by simply sliding off links from the bottom end of the chains.

This has been a great buy for summer no more fly's in the house, wish i had purchased sooner . Not cheap but very robust, and easy to attach Would recommend

The curtain is much lighter than I expected, the brackets and screws where incompatible as the screw heads passed through the brackets and no washers were provided that would have solved the problemThat Saif, it's keeps the flies out of my house now so I can have my kitchen door open on hot days.....when we have them🤔
