Far exceeded expectations
Ordered this on Thursday night, arrived Saturday (despite the snow), so well done Amazon AND Royal Mail! This product is superb, especially for the price. The visor is lightweight, and easily adjustable, and should fit most head sizes. It doesn't slip down, and you hardly know you are wearing it (so do be careful if you leave the house with it on, as you will look a bit odd). The retaining screws on the side ensure the visor section is firmly in place, so it doesn't fall forward too. Now, the lenses aren't precision ground glass, but they are very acceptable, and very clear and smooth. What I most like is that the visor has 2 positions to fit the lenses into, which is intended (I guess) to achieve a focal distance that suits your own eyes. But what it also means is you can use 2 lenses together. I have experimented with the weakest in the first slot, and then another in the furthest slot, which can be pulled down to increase the magnification. There is a previous review that gives the product 1 star, stating that you have to be only 3 inches away from the item you are magnifying to make this work - well I am not sure about his eyes, but depending on the lens used, it is not like that at all. At 47, my eyes are starting to weaken now, and I have to hold magazine further away to focus - with these on, they allow me to focus at a comfortable level. But I didn't buy these as glasses replacements - I bought them for close-up working when painting 28mm figures, or working on anything where I currently get frustrated by the quality of my eyes.In a nutshell, for the price, you genuinely cannot go wrong.Oh, and as a bonus, take the time to thoroughly read the instructions - top quality translation, including these being suitable for a "beast doctor" which I assume is vet!

Good for the price, but attract dust.
A useful addition for working on my model kits. The light is a little delicate but works well and the range of magnifications (3.5, 2.5, 1.8 and 1.2) is useful, though I find the highest is too much and have problems focussing. It is possible to attach two lenses simultaneously to combine the magnification as there are two rows of connections (you could also use this as alternative positions for one lens). The headband is adjustable, sliding tight with a simple push clip to allow the band to loosen, and the knobs for the main peak are metal so should be quite sturdy. However, the weight of batteries (2xAAA, supplied), lamp and lens(es) do add up and it can droop if you shake your head. Also, the lenses are acrylic, so attract dust particularly if you are working on plastic removing flash lines or filing parts.I am happy with the purchase, as I wasn't sure if such headset would be useful, nor what magnification would be best. If I find I need to replace these in a couple of years with a more industrial (and expensive) head loupe I will be able to make a much more informed choice.

Great device. Good choice of lenses. Easy to use.
As i aged I realised that close up detailed work was getting harder and harder. This device is excellent for helping those with issues like mine. Several lenses are included, in a sturdy plastic box so they don't get scratched in storage. The higher the magnification the closer you need to be and I have so far found need only for the two lowest power lens. There are two lens clips on the visor, not sure why but I suppose that changes the distance at which the object can be held. There is also a small light but it is useless as a task light. You really need something with much more illumination to do anything so don't buy this if you think the little 2xAAA power lamp is going to help... it won't.Screw fixings are at each temple so you can change the friction that holds the visor in place. Over time it becomes loose so a little tweak on the screws and you have a rock solid visor but one that can also be tilted up when you need to see further away.Buy this if you want a really good gadget or are loosing your short sight and need something comfortable, ergonomic and dependable.

Cheap and sort of OK if you can't afford something better.
OK. Quite like the selection of magnifications. I use it for close work repairing instruments and it does the job.Annoyances: you'll want to put padding around the headband, which is plastic and uncomfortable. Also the locking nuts to hold the visor in place work loose, so instead of flipping up the visor to get it out of the way it's better to flip up the lens which is on a sort of hinge. The light is rubbish - it flicks on and off - because the switch and battery compartment don't really function properly. But it is very cheap so what do you expect.
