Sugarflair Concentrated Food Colours - Mixed Set of 10 PASTEL Pastes Prepacked by Sugarflair

I bought another make before returning to Sugarflair and although adequate just did not match the quality and colour variety that Sugarflair provide. This is a great pack and price and colours are true and easy to mix into fondant and flower paste.My only criticism is that the pastel colours tend to toughen flower paste a little making it harder to roll but not a big problem and a little shortening helps. Possibly the Titanium {white} is the reason yet that's what makes the colour 'pastel' but I can live with that. Excellent and long lasting, a little goes a long way.

Good selection of colours, you really only need a tiny bit to colour, I use the handle of a teaspoon, dip it in the colour pot then wipe onto the buttercream you want to colour then you can judge if you want to add more but you really do only need a small amount it goes a very long way, also doesn't change the taste of the buttercream either. I've started to use this brand over the other brands it seems more cost effective and easier to use.

These are easily the best quality food dyes you can get, vibrant colours, only a small bit needed and last for ages. They might seem expensive but they work out cheaper than supermarket ones.

Good selection of colours and they mix easily. I usually mix they colour into a small amount of icing and then add that to the main batch of icing. That seems to work best for me.

I use Sugarflair colours in a lot of recipes - ice creams, cookies, cakes and with the exception of one or two colours which require more than the usual little splodge on the end of a spoon to give a vibrant effect, they give consistently good results. If you are new to this brand, remember there's a big difference between these and the 'gel' colours you can buy in tubes in the supermarkets, these are *much* stronger, so proceed with caution and only add a little at a time to avoid getting say, a lurid pink buttercream when you really wanted pastel pink.And the reason for the 'miffed' in the header above and why 4 stars and not 5? Well purely because once again I've found myself falling foul of Amazon's misleading product pictures. I was purchasing these for a gift and according to the picture, they come in their own little cardboard sleeve. No, not exactly fancy, but from an aesthetic point of view, looking a lot nicer to receive as a gift than 10 little 'loose' pots jammed into an envelope ... which is exactly how they arrived, which means now I have to find something to put them in to make them look like a purchased 'present' and not just a bunch of random pots I grabbed them from my own collection.On top of this the 10 pots are clearly from mixed batches, some have large & obvious 'pull the tab to open' style packaging, and some have less obvious tabs. Again, it's not the end of the world but it is annoying when you consider that this was for a gift and having assumed I was getting a box of 10 food colouring gels, I also assumed that they would appear the same. The colours are the same as those advertised but looking at the individual pots, I'm guessing the seller has just swiped the individual items off of a general display, again it makes for a poor looking gift.So, 5 stars for the product itself, but one knocked off for presentation.

I bake and decorate a lot of cakes and I love these pastes. So much better than food colouring. Really strong true colours. This pack was very varied. I only needed a couple of colours but thought it worked out better value to buy the pack. I've used most of them now, no complaints

These lovely colours are just wonderful. They don't dilute any mixture, are edible, only a little is needed, and I find them as useful for crafting as I do for cooking. I already have the ten spectral colours, I was so pleased to get the pastel set too.
