Sometimes the ESV is a little clunky for children, but it's readable enough and I think will last longer for him. Only downside for me was that there isn't an Anglicized version available.

Really good Bible easy to understand really recommend

Exactly what I wanted for my son - and more!
I bought this Bible for my 8-year-old son, hoping to have a Bible that was both fun for him now, but usable as he grows older. It doesn't disappoint. Lots of great content - book headings, historical facts, games - plus a load of features I wasn't expecting - maps, glossary and concordance. Sometimes the ESV is a little clunky for children, but it's readable enough and I think will last longer for him. Only downside for me was that there isn't an Anglicized version available.
