Paid for it self
I purchased this for my garage. I lost about an 1/8 of a cow a few months ago after a rain storm tripped my gfi and I did not realize it until I smelled the rot.2 weeks later, freezer was 1/4 full of pork and beef and the alarm sounded at 8pm. Took me a minute to realize what was alarming, but sure enough the gfi tripped. We quickly mitigated the problem. This $12 part saved me $400 in frozen meat! MUST HAVE IF YOU HAVE FREEZER MEAT!Value✅Quality ✅Functional ✅

Don’t get caught sleeping.
I bought this because I was worried about storms at night and the power going out while I was sleeping and my sump pump in the basement not working and flooding the place out. It’s a great for peace of mind. The power has went out several times one time at night which it did wake me up. It is loud definitely an attention getter. I highly recommend this.

Inexpensive peace of mind
This device is perfect for our second fridge.Yes it works. Power went out and I heard the the high pitch chirping (like an intrusion alarm) from our second floor. Volume can be adjusted.

Continually trips GFCI
I purchased this to notify us if the power is ever disrupted to our water purifier. The purifier is plugged into a GFCI circuit. We've never had any issue with the GFCI tripping but wanted this alarm "just in case" as we'd not know that it's not powered. About one day after plugging the alarm into the same outlet as the purifier it has tripped the GFCI multiple times, with nothing more than a VERY faint beeping -- which couldn't be heard unless we actually open the doors to the storage room where the purifier is located. Each time it tripped the circuit we reset the GFCI, and sometimes within hours the circuit would trip again. I had great hopes that this product would notify us of any outage -- but it seems to be CAUSING outages in our situation. I might add that our home is new construction with all new circuitry, and we've never had any problems before this. Sadly, I can not recommend this product.05/2024 -- I want to update my review. Even though I'm disappointed that this alarm isn't working in our situation, I want to commend their customer service for dealing with the situation. Our home is brand new construction, with 'smart/self-testing' circuitry. So I don't understand why our situation is unique. However, their customer service has been great.

Great for CPAP Users
I had anticipated losing our power and the affect it would have on my wife's CPAP machine; I bought an Ecoflow Delta 2 Power Station so she could run ALL the features, not just the minimum if/when we lose power. But, I never factored in how to know when the power fails. Well, 2 nights ago I found out. We had a most impressive thunderstorm (Central FL) and at 1:30am our power went out. Our UPS that is hooked up to the PC started beeping and eventually woke me. It took me a couple minutes to realize WTH was going on; I turned it off. Then I called Duke Energy. After I finished, it dawned on me that my wife had not been roused by the thunder, lightning or her CPAP machine not operating. When I nudged her she woke up startled. I hooked up her ResMed to the Delta 2 and she was good to go. But, I needed a way to be alerted to a power outage. I figured there must be some kind of alarm for that situation, so I GTS (Googled That S***). And behold, THERE IS! I chose the HENDUN Power Failure Alert. (Amazon has a pile of different brands. YMMV) I put it on the receptacle for the washing machine to test it. When I tripped the breaker, the HENDUN really let me know! There are a number of sounds to choose from; if you want annoying as all get out, it's among the choices. Volume is somewhat controllable. The ON/OFF switch is a blessing.Because I'm not concerned with losing 1 circuit but am concerned with losing power to the whole house, I'm putting this in a receptacle that will alert any and all residents in the house.BTW: CPAP is listed among the "Applicable Scenarios". It says, "…gives you a timely alert to prevent any damage or loss that breaks your heart". This made my wife chuckle.

Nice & Loud - definitely would wake me up if power goes down!
I find AC power is going down more often than it used to, partly because it is California and they have some protection built in such that if a power line gets hit by a branch or even animal it could cause it to shut down power to prevent triggering a wildfire. It usually stays down for at least 2 + hour, sometimes more.Several times I've been on the very of having a whole refrigerator and freezer's worth of food spoiling so I ended up getting a 2 Kwh power station solely for my frig/freezer. Already had to use it twice in the last few months. During the day it is easy to know obviously when power goes down and I just go down and plug my frig into the power station. This little gem provides the protection if power ever goes down in the middle of the night while I am sleeping. It is nice & loud and would easily wake me up from even the deepest slumber. Well worth the investment and I highly recommend it.Only one con I would note. I'm not sure this would be loud enough if for example you are monitoring an outlet or device on the other side of the house or something. For me I just plug it into an outlet right in my bedroom because when I have a power issue the entire home is always affected.Suggest an enhancement where the main device can communicate with a wireless receiver and sound the alarm in the bedroom even if the monitoring device itself is on the other side of the house.Nevertheless this product is easily worth 5 stars.Update: on 6/8 AC power went down about 10:30pm when I was sleeping. This product indeed did its job well and woke me up from a deep sleep. Power was down until almost 4:30am and then was barely up for like an hour and went down again for another hour and a half. There is 100% chance my entire freezer and frig would have been full of spoiled food had it not been for this great product. Wish I could give this 10 stars!!
