Great item, easy clean, and takes up little space
I wanted a means of making the occasional chaffles or savoury keto friendly waffles. At first I looked at electric waffle makers, but felt I couldn't really justify getting another large appliance that would suit around most of the time. I then stumbled across this gadget, and it's been great, just what I needed.Easy to use: just fill with your waffle dough/mixture, taking care Not to overfill, and heat on the hob (Note: if you have a gas hob like me, you might want to use a diffuser on the ring to avoid anything dripping into the flames if overfilled).Easy to clean: it seems to be non-stick, so it can just be washed in soapy warm water, rinsed and dried.Easy to store: it's a compact folding item that takes up little space in my cupboard and could probably be stored in a large cutlery drawer.I wish all my purchases were so successful in terms of fitness for purpose. Can only recommend!

Does what a waffle iron should!
Used this for the first time last weekend. It works. After buring the first waffle having our gas hob too high I got the settings dialled in and was able to produce waffle after waffle just fine. Obviously, this is more work than an electric waffle iron that heats both sides at the same time, but if you want something simple for the occasional waffles, that also takes less space than another electric appliance, then this if for you. If you plan to make waffles often, I'd recommend going for the electric option for ease of use.Small tip: There are instructions included with the iron to 'season' it before the first use by brushing it with oil and leaving it in the oven @ 220C for 1 hour. I did this and the waffles did not stick. So far so good.

Great item
This pan is very good. It gets nice and hot and cooks waffles I'm no time. Small tip... don't overfill your pan and make sure you heat both sides before closing as this does make a difference to the overall cook quality.

Great product, good price
Actually very impressed! Husband was sceptical, but even he has had to admit it works well. I followed other reviewers recommendations (thanks) re seasoning, cleaning, recipes, cooking times. Definitely make sure you heat both sides before using and I wiped with a little oil on kitchen roll. Found that first attempt usually leaks, but by third round I can produce golden waffles. Tested both recipes... Jamie’s produce excellent crispy waffles, quite plain flavour so you need to top. Also his recipe starts very runny, but leave it to rest and it thickens. Belgian waffle recipe tastes amazing (I used slightly less sugar/butter).Cleaning - I didn’t wash after use, when cool I wiped with kitchen roll in all the groves, all the bits came off and next use didn’t stick. (2nd pic is after wiping, 2nd day used)Other plus is that it’s very small and flat, fits easily in a drawer.

Not great
Makes a mess. Coating off first use. Inedible waffles.

It works as it says it will and more
Excellent. Light and easy to use but strong. I have tried American pancake recipe, toasted ham and cheese in between 2 regular sized slices of bread, both turned out delicious. Paninin works and pre-cooked chicken works with brie and cranberry in toasties! just experiment with your favorite fillings - I'm thinking of looking to add another stove top waffle iron to my collection with a different shape - hearts. These irons are so much easier than electric because you stay in control of the heat.

So much better than an electric waffle maker
I had a three in one waffle maker that I only use for toasted sandwiches now as the waffle function was worse than useless.Gave this simple waffle iron a try as ... heh it was cheap so figured why not.Found a recipe on goole and gave it a go and OMG! it was so much faster, waffles cooked to perfection in under 5 mins and not one single one stuck.Time will tell if the pan lasts but it looks strong and well made for the price.Use on a gas hob, with a little spray oil.

Best Waffles ever!
I’ve made waffles before using electric powered machines and always had poor results, so when my daughter asked for waffles, bacon and maple syrup for Christmas Breakfast i thought I’d have to but ready made. But I thought I’d still search what was available and came across these.I have a stove kettle which I love do I thought I’d go for this stove waffle maker, I found a recipe in one of my cook books (Jamie Oliver’s ‘Save with Jamie’) and gave it a go.Wow! Never had such perfect waffles, crispy in the right places, soft and fluffy in others. I need to perfect timings but apart from that...Easy to clean, and I followed the ‘before use’ instructions as well as the ‘usage’ to the letter.Simple to use, a doddle to clean, easy to store, roll on Christmas morning, yay!
