Expensive but does the job well
Relatively expensive for what it is, but works well for vertically lifting and placing slabs, and really useful for removing a slab set amongst others without risking damage to the neighbouring slabs by using a leverSolid construction, which did not protest lifting 60cm square, 38mm deep concrete slabsMinimum 4mm joint required for the jaws to fit

should have bought this years ago!
I bought this as I’ve a patio to do, (2x2’s) but I have a path to do first (3x2’s)… I’m on my own and retired, mid 60’s, I lay on a bed of mortar and it’s always a problem as I have to put one side of the flag down first then lower the other side….. this tool is a revelation!, I moved the slabs (3x2) next to where I was laying and propped them on bricks then used the tool to lift horizontally and position flat onto the mortar beds, all I can say is it’s very well made and sturdy, It’s German so nuff said, well worth the money.

Brilliant tool
Bought this tool to help me lay a patio. First used on my slabs which are 400x400mm. Made the job very easy.Have this weekend used it to lay a patio for my son with slabs 600x600mm. It made a job that would have been back breaking so much easier. Used a length of wood through the handel so two of us could move the slabs which was easy to do with this and get them in place.Thought it was a little expensive with the delivery cost when ordering but would now say worth every penny. Would recommend 😊

Perfect for a one-made job
I did use the slab lifter on 600mm x 600mm slabs, very heavy. I was doing my patio on my own and I'm 100% sure it wouldn't be possible to do it without the lifter.With the lifter it was very easy to lift the slab and put it in its place from the top, not messing your sand base. Also no such thing a chipped fingers.
