Perfect for beginners and intermediate readers
The grammar section of this book is a very sweet bonus. It's far more useful than your average dictionary. The amount of vocabulary in this dictionary is more than you could ask for and it's especially helpful that it's divided into two sectons of Latin to English and vice versa. Other than that, the sections containing trivia are especially insightful and interesting. For example, there's a section that talks about the Roman government system and terms related to it in Latin. Overall, this book is fantastic.

Imperial Rome and modern English
I’m someone who likes words. Although not particularly gifted, I enjoyed learning Latin at school. We live in a world where language is increasingly misused. Often it is just inelegant. We hear words like ‘ekcetera’ used by people who really should know better. I find this book useful. Not only do we have a dictionary, but a quick section on grammar, with more detail at the end. There is a section on Roman life and culture, and that includes government, organisation of the army, money, measures, and verse. There is a section on Latin phrases used in English, and key events in Roman history. I think that Imperial Rome still has something to offer if we are to write and to speak coherent, if not beautiful, English.

Really good dictionary
The typeface is a bit difficult for my old eyes, but the content of the book is great.

Great
Very helpful for IB Latin - would recommend. Also personally I find this version easier to use than the smaller Gem Edition.

Latinistler için başuçu kitabı
Geniş kelime haznesi, kelime açıklamaları ve konu özetleriyle hangi seviyede bir Latince öğrencisi olursanız olun vazgeçilmez bir kaynak. Latince eğitimim boyunca Collins yayınevinden şaşmadım, Wheelock's Latin'den başlayıp an itibariyle Wheelock's Latin Reader'dan okumalar yapıyorum. Ve Collins Latin Dictionary and Grammar, bütün Latince eğitimimi tamamlayıcı bir rol görüyor. Gözüm kapalı öneririm.

Compact and quite comprehensive
Some vocabulary used in introductory Latin texts (e.g. Most's Latin by the Natural Method) is not there; some alternative meanings (singular vs. plural) not included. However covers both grammar, Latin usage, and other background. An excellent beginner's dictionary.

Best Small Latin-English Dictionary.
As a student taking Latin, this is the best option next to the $400 incredibly overpriced Oxford Latin Dictionary. I used the grammar section frequently. Better than Cassel's, in my opinion.
