Great prints, good price, stylish design and flexible printing
Having tried out an HP Sprocket Studio Plus and been massively disappointed by it (expensive for starters and wholly reliant on an app) I bought this instead. Worried I'd be burned by the same poor functionality, I'm pleased to say nothing could be further from the truth. The Canon is miles better, and cheaper!Pros:Stylish design, looks good on table/desk.Small footprint, so easy to move about unlike an A4 printer, for example.Easy to setupAbility to use it with either the Canon Selphy app, or as a WiFi printer connected to your home network. You can also plug it into a computer using the USB port, or you can directly plug in an SD card.Quick prints (it's a 4-pass system, so it sucks the photo in and out 4 times before spitting it out. Each pass is around 10 seconds, but it feels quicker.Colour screen and buttons are easy to use via the onscreen menu.ConsThe Selphy app ordered the phones photos in a really bizarre order that we still haven't figured out and even if searching by date, it had some missing e.g. daughters birthday didn't come up as a search result... Yet I have tonnes of pics from that day. Odd.Consequently, abandoned the Canon app for the moment and re-setup the printer on the home WiFi network (rather than app direct). Can now print directly from all devices connected to our network, which is great, plus print from the Google Photos app, for example (where photos are not missing or out of order)!A very feint line did appear about a centimetre from the left side of the print, presumably due to how it does the 4 passes, but it's barely noticeable and for us not a deal breaker.Note that the paper sticks out the back when printing, so keep that area clear and due to the angle, it's probably best not to use the printer on carpet as it may get caught. Finally, the paper draw doesn't really have a home when not in use, which is a bit of a shame and ruins the otherwise very good aesthetic.Overall, this is a great little printer with solid connectivity, compatibility and flexible printing options. It is also considerably cheaper and better in function than the HP Sprocket Studio Plus. Literally the only thing th HP did better was home the paper tray when not in use. Get the Canon.

Superb if you avoid compatible ink/papers
Having had many photo printers in the past, from A4 Epson desktops to 44 inch wide format £5k photo printers for business, personally I can say that this Canon Selphy is really rather surprisingly excellent.Ink/PaperMy initial mistake - I used non-Canon ink/paper and the difference was significant to say the least. With the official Canon ink/paper - which costs the same as the compatibles anyway - the black print is actually black, rather than a weird tinted black. Also, the tear off end pieces are so much more crisp than the compatible paper, which often didn't even come away properly leaving white frayed edge. For me once I discovered all this, my 'ok' printer was transformed into a 'superb' printer that I would recommend to anyone.BatteryI purchased a battery for the printer, and now rarely bother to plug in the printer itself, making it fully portable enabling me to print anywhere round the house. I have even printed on the beach, which is great fun! Be careful though, printers don't like dust, dirt, moisture etc so this is not a recommendation, just my own decision and experience. The annoying lineSearch online and you will find that many people have complained about an obvious line on all prints which appears about 1cm from the edge across the print. I had this too, and to be honest this issue, along with the slightly odd colours/ tinted blacks, I was going to return the printer. However, for me the line has so far now disappeared. For my printer i believe this is due to:1 - using original Canon paper/ink.2 - keeping the paper feed tray fairly full of paper. If you have just a few sheets left in the tray, it seemed to start the scratching.SummaryPersonally I love this printer. I have accepted that it costs around 30p a print - considerably more than so called free prints online which are great for bulk orders - but I am happy to pay as I get:1. Full control of my prints.2. Instant prints, anywhere I am (using the battery) which enables me to instantly share the fun, which was the whole point of this purchase, to stop leaving great photos stuck on my phone/cloud.3. A sense a joy that such a tiny printer (which I can fit in a backpack /camera bag, and not even notice really) can produce excellent quality prints, with its funny little noises and the paper sliding back and forth. If you like little machines doing things mechanically, you will get what I mean.Connectivity to my mobile (and my family's) was so easy, and it connects instantly whenever I actually create a print.I love the option to add a black border, especially as it is now actually black. This really makes photos pop, a photographers secret ssshh don't tell everyone. In these pictures, Canon is the top black and white photo, and with the sunset corner image you can see the difference in the borders (black vs tinted). Of course, the difference in print accuracy doesn't just apply to black and white, it affects the whole colour spectrum in my opinion.Enjoy!

Fantastic printer for a fantastic price!
What a great little printer! For printing out shots off the cuff so to speak up it does a brilliant job. If you’re a person who likes to ring the changes on your photos for example you have a multi frame picture frame this printer is brilliant. We bought extra paper and cartridges when we bought this printer because we realise that it would be invaluable. They make great photos too if you like to stick them on the front of greeting cards so that you send the personal cards to family or you just want to take a shot of something quickly and see what the result is, it’s fantastic and really good value for money really! It’s so compact we even take it on a holiday which is brilliant, lots of 6 x 4 photos so you can ring the changes. 👍

Great photo printer for phone pics
My daughter loves this in her bedroom. It was easy to set up with an app on her phone, and she prints photos for her bedroom wall. Easy to use, and it's handy that you buy the ink and paper together. I've stocked up when they've been on offer.

Great little printer - Colours not 100%
This is a great little printer for home (or out and about photos - if you buy the battery separately). I love being able to print of photos from phone or camera nice and easily from the mobile phone app. I have found the colours arent perfect but its good enough for the price. I have had some images of people/faces look a little washed out but you can edit the photo and re print easily enough. The white colour of the printer itself looks smart too
