Brilliant for a tidy desk
Really good especially when compared to old school power strips. To be able to power a laptop straight off the USB C is really helpful.

Fairly Unique Problem-Solver
The UGREEN DigiNest is quite an interesting product! It's essentially a compact trailing mains extension with three mains sockets, a couple of USB-C sockets (supporting USB-C Power Delivery [PD]) and a couple of the larger USB Type A sockets. The product has a fixed thick 13A mains cable (1.8m length). A kettle lead socket would have made the product larger. I like that there is a power switch on the device, but the indicator light is just weird, it is _extremely_ faint. The indicator light is not near the switch, but is positioned near the USB Type A connector (I'm mentioning this because you'll struggle to even see where the indicator light is, it is that faint!). A near-dead Casio watch backlight will be brighter than the indicator on this product; I'm not exaggerating.I didn't like that there are no screws (none under the rubber feet either), it is permanently sealed so it's not serviceable.I can see this device being quite handy when working at home, simplifying the connections to your laptop, monitor and so on, which providing the valuable USB-C PD capability to fast-charge your phone. Some laptops can be directly powered from the USB-C socket too (provided they can operate with 65W or less power). It could also be handy for taking into work meetings, where it can be a pain to share the few mains sockets because everyone wants to power up their laptops. For the geeks, it is ideal to power up your projects when you inevitably need several sockets and a USB power supply! The product feels well made, and I liked that it is from a reputable brand (I don't trust cheaper no-name equipment when it comes to mains-operated devices). In summary, I think it's a good product, and probably worth the price, it's not much of an extra premium for obtaining the peace-of-mind by purchasing from this known brand.A note for the technically-minded: All the mains sockets are earthed of course (I confirmed with a multimeter), but the USB sockets are not earthed. This is exactly the same as with 99.9% of USB charger products out there, and is safe, but there are niche circumstances where earthing is desired on the USB sockets, so if you're hoping the USB sockets are earthed just because this product also combines an earthed mains extension, then that's not the case.

Useful Addition
This item was purchased to take travelling, as it combines the three pin standard uk plug, along with USB B & C options, it also has an on /off switch. It’s shape and weight make it very stable on a desk or table surface. I was able to charge my iPhone and iPad at the same time, whist making an early morning cuppa. Not the cheapest extension lead I own, but it was easy to pack and store whilst away, it was used everyday.

Disappointing for the price
For the price, this is fairly disappointing. It's a good unit, and charges at the advertised power rating, but the build quality isn't great (specifically the power switch feels very cheap, and doesn't click into position with much confidence). The most annoying thing is that when you plug in a new USB device, power drops to everything for a couple of seconds. Presumably this is when it's negotiating power delivery, but other devices can do this without cutting power.I travel with this and use a travel router. When plugged into this, the router loses power and has to reboot every time I plug or unplug a phone or laptop. This means I ALSO need to have another USB charger plugged into a 3pin, just so I can keep power to my travel router (and baby monitor if with the family) when plugging in.As convenient as this looks (and could be without these faults) I'd get something else.

Quite brilliant
We have guests coming over from mainland europe from time to time and it’s such a hassle to have all types of adapters. With this, I can have the cables ready and charge 4 devices simultaneously. It also keeps my macbook charged when I want to lazily work from bed. The only negative is the on/off button, which feels flimsy compared to the rest of the item, but I am being picky here. I love the litte understated indicitor on the front that shows when the unit is on
