The charger seems fine. i dont know what other people are freaking out on. Easy to use took me about 10 mins to attach and tune in.

bright!
won't be mounting it on my gun until after Christmas so I have no idea as to its capabilities until then.

Overall a nice setup, but a bit bulky
Mounting is quick, with tools. It seems sturdy enough, but time will tell how well it holds up to recoil without loosening. The light is BRIGHT! As soon as I turned it on, I took one of my other lights and added it to the donation pile because it was so outclassed. The green laser is...a green laser that's nice and bright. The option to turn on flashing (strobe for the flashlight, blinking dot for the laser) is activated by holding the respective button down for a couple of seconds.Drawbacks I see are that a quick disconnect option would have been a nice touch to not require tools (although the screw slot is big enough to use a coin in a pinch). It's also a pretty bulky, hefty combination which might be a pro and a con for others.

Who needs a zero with a light this bright?
(Title is sarcastic, if that wasn't clear.)Appears to be solid and generally well made, mounts easily. Light and green laser very bright and I appreciate that the green laser is not washed out by the flashlight and can be seen in most daylight conditions. However, it does not hold zero. Once I got it dialed in on my glock, I set it down on the table, came back, and it was 2 inches out of alignment at 5 yards. Yikes. Re-dialed it in, fiddled with it a bit more so it seemed like it would stay. Holstered in a soft holster, drawn, and out of alignment again. Re-aligned, placed in box, removed, worked the slide, and out of alignment again. I hadn't even shot the dang thing and it wasn't holding up.I expect some inconsistency on a glock, since it has a polymer frame and the underbarrel rail is pretty flexy, but I have other lasers that don't go out of alignment that fast. Not sure if I got a bum unit or if it's just really touchy...As a weapon light, it's plenty bright, and at very close range a misaligned laser might not matter all that much, but I'm not feeling trusty on this one. Also have mixed feelings on the rechargeable battery. I know a CR123A can last years in storage. If I have to pull this out for home defense after a month or two of not charging it, I need to know it's going to work. Similarly, if I need to use it regularly, I might not be able to wait a couple hours for a charge...

Better than my Streamlight TLR-1
I was running a 15 year old Streamlight TLR-1 so I decided it was probably in my best interest to upgrade my light just to be safe. In addition, I wanted to add a laser to have that capability in the event I ever wanted it.The weight of this light is very similar to my pricier TLR-1 and this light is about a half an inch shorter.I do prefer the toggles on my TLR-1 over the push buttons on this light; however, that may be due to the fact that I'm just use to how my old light functioned. The TLR-1 light had only 300 lumens and this GL50-G is advertised at 1,200 lumens so I was interested to see how they compared side by side (see pictures for comparison). Needless to say, a picture is worth a thousand words, this light is dramatically brighter than my older TLR-1.The green laser is also very bright and it took me just a few minutes to zero it in with bore laser. I'll update this review if I notice it straying away from zero, but for now it seems to be perfect. The next advantage this light offers me is the ability to charge it up using the included magnetic charger. My old TLR-1 did not have the ability to recharge the batteries so this too was a refreshing update.Thankfully, like my TLR-1, this GL50-G also has an optional strobe function which is activated by holding the light button down for two seconds. To switch it back to standard mode you'll just need to repeat that process.Coming in at $76 at the time of review this light is roughly $44 cheaper than my Streamlight TLR-1 and with the extra functionality and performance this was an easy decision for me to switch.

Easy installation, ambidextrous controls, great features.
After about the hundredth time sweeping the house after the cats knocked something over, I decided it was probably a good idea to get a light (vs. trying to carry one one-handed).This arrived well-packaged, and was easy to attach to the picatinny rail on my XDM 3.8. There are a number of small touches that make this a fantastic little piece, but I'll list a few of my faves:1) Ambidextrous controls. While this may seem like a small thing, the controls are present on both left and right -- and are within easy reach to manipulate either with a trigger finger or with a supporting thumb.2) Magnetic, wireless charger. My safe has a plug-in, so I can simply attach the charger when I put it away. This is fantastic so that you don't have to keep spare batteries on hand or remove the light to replace them.3) Solid construction. This thing feels very well put together. The buttons have positive clicks. The light and laser are bright. Nothing wobbles, shakes, or jiggles once you tighten it down.If there is a down-side, it's that elevation and windage adjustment rely on an allen key. That said, you'll likely only need to sight it in once, so it's not a huge issue since you don't have to remove the light to charge it. This is a fantastic addition to my collection, and I'm very pleased.

Very bright light and good laser
This is one of the brightest light/laser combo's I've seen. It's brighter than my TLR-1 and Senseray. I just wish they had put the laser on top and the light at the bottom. I want the laser as close to the barrel as possible (Less offset). I can't think of a reason why you would want the light on top. I like the recharge feature, except I don't know how often to recharge under "normal use." It does have a red light that comes on, when you turn it on and the battery is <10% left. The buttons are Ambi and easy to get to with my left thumb, shooting right handed.
