Expensive but tight-fitting and secure
Bought this to slightly increase the magnification of my 100mm macro lens and it works well. Whilst I think it's quite expensive for being an extension tube (which, after all, doesn't have any glass inside), I didn't want to risk a cheaper one from Kenko or similar with my L-series lenses (in case it fell off). Also read online that many of the cheaper ones have some play in the couplings which isn't good for macro photography when focus and depth-of-field are so critical. This attaches to the camera really tightly and you can then just forget about it. It doesn't give a massive increase in magnification for a 100mm macro lens (10% only), but does allow you to connect said lens to a 1.4x or 2x extender (which otherwise you can't do).

Genuine new Canon quality product.
Great - works with all my Canon compatible lenses including L and non-L. Have tried it out on a few of my best lenses (70-200 F2.8 Canon) and Sigma 1.4 50 mm Art and works really good. I used a tripod to steady any shake and the results were impressive. It is not the same as having a bespoke Macto lens but for the Macro shots I plan to take it is a good compromise. I bought this on Amazon Prime (free delivery) and paid about £59 which I thought was good. All the lens controls (autofocus and aperture priority etc) work using the converter which is a major plus. Arrived brand new and boxed with a nice leather draw string pouch and front and rear lens caps. Happy with the purchase and I would recommend to others.

Quality Canon - hence pricey
Does what it says on the tin. I considered getting one of the cheaper non-Canon Chinese ones but taking into account the reviews and thought I'd bite the bullet and go with the extra cost of the Canon original. I have not been disappointed. It gives great macro shots. There are no problems with contacts or mechanical fixiongs (obviously) that were reported with the cheapo alternatives. It even comes with a faux-leather drawstring bag to store it in!

Canon macro-super piece of kit.
The media could not be loaded. Great little extra without a lot of expense. Still getting used to it but think it’ll be great with more practise.

Well built extension tube, however I struggle to give it more than 3 stars due to the cost when compared with other options on the market. If you need Canon equipment expect to pay a premium. Otherwise, it works well with 28mm and 24-105mm Canon lenses on both full and cropped frame cameras.

Great for closeups
Great for close ups - macro - and doesn't lose too much light value either. Although Canon is expensive I feel you get good quality so worth it

Canon EOS 7D, 24-105mm L and Canon EF-12 II.
You've heard the saying "You get what you pay for" well that's true with this Canon extension tube.I needed a small tube for my eos 7d and 24-105mm which would allow me to get a little closer to wild flowers and a few larger bugs, it works very well, as expected.I researched other brands of tubes and although they are considerably cheaper the quality doesn't go anywhere near matching Canon's quality, when you have a pricey camera body and a pricey lens you want to have confidence in the bit that's holding them together, no worries with this extension tube, the build quality out shines all others, worth every penny.Amazon service was first class, as usual.

Pretty Decent, but pricey
This extension tube does exactly does what it says it should, but it is lacking in terms of its structure, it does feel with a few of my lenses to be a bit flimsy, especially with my Canon 40mm Pancake. Another con is the price, which for paying I was expecting a near perfect piece of kit which in all things considered is just a tube with some connectors inside. I have heard the Kenko tubes are much better value for money and supposedly better than the camera brand of extension tubes.
