I want to try and make an accurate review for this PlayVital AlterGrip Switch OLED cover. Firstly, I think this carbon fibre design looks so nice with the neon red and blue joycons; looks almost like the new Switch 2 design, which I really like. The quality is actually better than I'd anticipated - with one negative point to make: it arrived with one of the joycon back covers broken. Sounds like a bigger issue than it is as it comes with four backs and two fronts for the joycons. It was really easy to fix to my Switch using the adhesive strips and instructions provided. Be sure to take care when handling the back panel for the main body and applying the adhesive strips, as it could be fairly easy to damage the thin edges surrounding the kickstand. This case came with two sets of multicoloured button covers, and two black thumb grips. I decided not to use them personally, but I'm sure they're just as easy to install with their corresponding adhesive dots. All in all, I'm incredibly happy with this and I think my Switch looks really stylish and also feels a lot more comfortable to hold, as I find the metal body usually tends to be a bit sharp in places. This case also doesn't hinder my gameplay, as I'm still able to press buttons, screenshot, and home button. EDIT: Upon further inspection, two 'extra' joycon backs arrived broken, and I've realised why it came with four backs, because one set are flat, and the other set are palm comfort grips (not flat).

Really really happy with this casing. It was super easy and straightforward to apply to my switch, and it looks really great. It will definitely protect it from minor scrapes, but I have bought a screen protector to go with it for maximum protection.

a little fiddly and doesn’t feel like the strongest quality ever but had no issues with it so far and i like that it’s made my switch feel new and i love the colour! 🎀

It looks kinda great but the install process wasn't to bad, my only gripe is that all of the sticky tabs included with mine when peeled they wouldn't peel off so spent a lot of time trying to peel them without destroying/crunching up the sticky tabs so install process was delayed because of this issue. This happened with both the back plate tabs and the button caps, I just had enough for the button caps as they were very tiny and ended up accidentally destroying some of the sticky tabs as they were so small and hard to peel off. I also noticed the back plate after install already come unstuck I wouldn't say this is worth £22.99 at all, I will definitely be considering a different case/manufacturer

Fits amazing on the console. The covers are very easy to apply. Great protection, keeps the console scratch free. Amazing value for money, also comes with spare parts. Highly recommend and family have also brought too. Fits into a storage case nicely, even fits into the charging stand with no issues. Functions well and you can still hold the console well as its a slim case.

Absolutely gutted beautiful colour when received damaged can't use terrible

I didn't hold out much hope for this but I was very pleasantly surprised. I purchased the red case to jazz up my Switch. It arrived in an Amazon box with the items all separate. Thankfully everything was there. Just be careful when emptying the box, there are several small items. The instructions are very clear, for a change. Follow them carefully and you really can't go wrong. The double sided stickers are excellent and even have a tab so you can pull the backing off easily having stuck them to the covers. Be aware that main covers have indentations as a guide where to place the stickers. Very useful. The two side controllers have two different backings, one with a palm grip, one without. Your choice. These just clip over the controller with no adhesive pads. My covers fitted perfectly and look fantastic. Excellent value for money and recommended.

Honestly, I didn't have high hopes given the reviews HOWEVER, it arrived at 10.30am, and it's now 10.55am and I've already put it together. It was quick, easy, and the instructions were simple and straightforward. Didn't have any trouble with the sticky backs, they peeled off beautifully! Plenty of stickers left over incase it does ever come loose, but all in all it's sturdy, well stuck, lines up perfectly with the oled model. I very rarely use the dock, however I can confirm it fits perfectly in the dock. One thing I did find impressive is the choice of cover for the controllers. I love the curbed fit in my hand, I used to get cramp in the palm of my hand where the switch is flat with nothing to grip properly. Really impressed, and for the price, you can't go wrong!!!! 10/10!
