The current mattress I have is still good, but with my back getting progressively worse each ...
I purchased this product due to moderate - severe back pain (left over remnants from the Marines). The current mattress I have is still good, but with my back getting progressively worse each year, I needed some sort of relief as it was taking me more and more time each morning to wind up a bit before I was fully mobile. I've slept on memory foam mattresses before as well as toppers. They were okay, but nothing that made me want to go out and purchase a similar product. Another colleague (former Marine as well) stated that his back pain (in the morning) has almost disappeared since he bought the TEMPUR-Topper Supreme. I did a quick search after speaking with him and found a too-good-to-pass-up price via Amazon (other sites to include TEMPUR-PEDIC had this going for $399.00 - queen size) so I bit the bullet and purchased it with the option of being able to return it if it didn't measure up.So, it came secured in 3 separate boxes. The original, another around that one, and then an Amazon shipping box. No damage or issues with delivery. It arrived 2 days after ordering it (Prime).Opening and unwrapping went well with no issues and the mattress topper was without any discrepancies (tears, stains, etc.).No odor whatsoever. I have been around new memory foam before, and this topper had no strong smell at all. I still gave it time to expand and air out (it comes wrapped / rolled up). After a few hours, I put it on the bed. My current mattress is a bit thicker than normal (plush hybrid) so I use deep pocket sheets. I wasn't sure if the additional 3 inches of memory foam would be an issue with size and fit of the sheets. While it is a bit tight, everything still fit and the sheets stayed down / didn't roll up at night.I gave this product 4 stars out of 5 because this topper still sleeps a bit hot (if I could give it 4.5 I would). Not piping hot, or where you're drenched in sweat hot, but a bit warm. That is a better description. Not hot, but warm. I normally run hot anyway, so this was a concern for me, but the pain in my back takes precedence over that so I gave it a shot. I'm very glad I did. I wouldn't say this took ALL the pain in my back away, but getting up in the morning is about 85% easier and with less issues / pain than before. So that to me is a major plus and solidifies this as a good buy. If they had a product like this that kept cool or did not generate any heat at all, I would give it 5 stars no problem.I would recommend this product to others who are looking to relieve whatever pain (neck, back, hip, etc.) they may have while sleeping or those just looking to refresh their current mattress with a updated fit / feel.*** UPDATE 1/22/2019 ***So, I've slept on this topper the past year and can honestly say that this has helped lessen the pain and discomfort I experienced every single morning prior to making this purchase. I have also changed my rating of 4 stars to 5 as the topper does not sleep as warm as it initially did in the beginning. I'm not sure if that is from my body getting used to the topper and regulating my internal temperature, the topper airing out after a few weeks of use and better circulation getting through the material, or a little bit of both. Either way, I actually look forward to going to bed each night and enjoying a comfortable nights rest. I would continue to recommend this product with the same endorsement I provided above.

Makes bed super soft
I have a queen size "firm" posturepedic Plus Hybrid Sealy mattress and although it's an excellent mattress, I still experienced some loss in circulation and pressure on my hips and shoulders as a side sleeper. I had been planning on buying this mattress topper for about a month before purchasing. I watched a video of someone reviewing it outside of Amazon and I'd like to share some notes he stated that are true to this topper. If you want to watch that video, look up "Tempur adapt mattress topper review - the best pressure relief?" by Mattress Clarity. The video as if writing this review is 5 years old.For reference, I am 5'6", 107lbs and I'm bony. I sleep on my side but sometimes roll over onto my back during the night. I have osteoarthritis in my left hip and I've had a history of cervical nerve issues, which makes my left arm numb when I sleep wrong.Your mattress underneath has to be firm because this topper is SOFT. You probably don't want to be trapped inside your mattress if it's too soft. If your mattress is, for instance, 8 out of 10 on the firmness scale (10 being closer to that of a tabletop), then this topper will reduce that number to around 5. My mattress is soft in comparison to other brands, so there was a concern that this topper would make my bed too soft, but that hasn't been the case. When I first put this on top of my mattress, I was concerned my hips and especially my shoulders would poke through the foam and be touching the mattress. It might be two inches thick but I haven't actually done that. I'm well-padded. The softness is perfect for me. It did take a few nights for my body to adjust, as I was still waking up with sore hips, but after a month of sleeping on this combo, I wake up refreshed.I was concerned that I'd maybe need the 3 inch topper instead, but the 2 inches work perfectly fine. Maybe in the future when I might wear this one out, I'll get the 3inch. But for now, this works.I also love how, like the tempur-pedic mattress, it's motion isolating. I wouldn't trust that a glass of wine wouldn't topple over, like they used to demonstrate in old tempur-pedic commercials, because my Sealy mattress is a bit springy. So if you're expecting this to be perfectly motion isolating, I think it largely depends on your mattress. If you were like me and were concerned that this topper might shift around without mattress straps, it's ok because mine hasn't budged. However, I do not flop around much while I sleep, so I'm not sure if a flopper would experience the same thing I have been. The box came with a nice fitted sheet that keeps it in place. But for me, this topper has so much grip, I struggled getting it onto my mattress because it decided it didn't want to move. I would recommend someone else help you, especially if you have a queen or larger. But it is doable solo.Speaking of the fitted sheet, you might want to look into replacing the fitted sheet you already have with something with deeper pockets because this topper does heighten your bed. Deeper pockets or size up, like from queen to king.My Sealy is rounded at the edges and corners, so this topper sits somewhat awkwardly on top. My fitted sheet makes it look silly along the corners but the rest of my bedding covers it up, so it's not a big deal. There is minimal smell right out of the package. I didn't mind it at all.Once the topper was fresh on my mattress, everything felt incredibly soft. Too soft, almost, and yet it was weirdly a little more "firm" when the cover was put on. I liked this. It cemented the idea that this was worth buying.I couldn't access my package when it arrived because my work schedule clashes with my apartment's leasing office, so I couldn't get into the package room until my weekend started. So this topper was sitting in its packaging for several days. I was worried it wouldn't decompress. Luckily, it decompressed almost immediately by itself. I didn't need to do anything for it to spring into working order. As for my medical issues, I experienced some arthritic pain at first when going about my day, but that slowly disappeared. I've had zero issues with my cervical nerve to the point where I forget I even have that issue.I would recommend this tempur-pedic mattress topper to those who have similar features to me and for side sleepers. Larger builds will benefit from this as well, but if you're bigger, I'd suggest watching that video because the guy reviewing it is a bigger guy.

My foam camper mattress is finally tolerable! No more shoulder pain.
I have a weird sized camper mattress on my Murphy bed. It is full size, but only 71" long (full is usually 75"). Impossible to find a replacement mattress, this size. I took an old 'memory foam' topper off one of my home beds I bought years ago from Sam's Club. Didn't help much, would wake up with shoulder pain, being a side sleeper. I would also wake up in middle of night sweaty.I was pleasantly surprised this topper was the perfect size for my camper mattress. Width was a bit less than my mattress, less than an inch on either side. Length was perfect match for my short mattress. Would be 4 inches short for a regular full size mattress though, which could be vexing, or not, I don't know. The cooling cover worked great, no night sweating!!! I slept for 4 nights so far on this and had minimal to no shoulder pain. So an improvement. It's not as great as my Tempurpedic mattress at home, but it's as good as this bed is going to get. Oh, the hold down straps. Work great. Especially useful keeping this thing on my mattress when I fold it up, being a Murphy bed. I'd say it is worth the 300 bucks paid.

Love this but
Love this topper but its no good for an adjustable frame.. I so needed this kind of topper for my really sore back and hips, but it bunches up in my bed because I sleep sort of sitting up.. but its better than the rest I have purchased.. I love tempurpedic so I am hoping this helps in the long run ...update" wow... even with the bit that bunches up at my lower back I am soo comfy... a little over heated but just love this.. have changed rating to 5 star... now if I could only sleep..

Gamechanger - excellent alternative to buying a Tempur mattress
The media could not be loaded. 3+ years ago, I bought the firm mattress from my nightmares. It was so stiff, it left me in pain everyday. I bought a topper after one night, and that helped somewhat, but my husband still complained that it was awful. I had that for a few years, and with neither of us being entirely happy, I began to shop a Tempur, as I was really seeking that sinking feeling that is ultra supportive. Ultimately, the cost was just prohibitive, and I couldn't splurge. I decided to roll the dice on this, buying a Queen size Tempur topper (presumably American sizing) for my King size mattress (UK). Unfortunately, Tempur no longer sells these in the UK. I found the cost to be quite high compared to what Tempur used to sell them for, but still a lot less than buying a whole new mattress. This ended up being the best decision I've made in months. I feel like I'm sleeping on a whole new bed! My husband, miraculously, no longer complains of pain and is actually sleeping! My daughter wants one for her single bed, but I'm not inclined to get it for her because she'll never get up for school if I make her bed any cosier! I definitely recommend this to anyone seeking high quality memory foam (they're not created equal!!), but pay attention to the sizing. If you have a UK King mattress, do NOT buy a King, as this is American sizing and will be larger than your mattress. Go for a Queen instead. You won't be sorry.
