Bond-It Russet Brown 1kg Cement colour toner / dye / pigment - A tin of powdered colouring or dying pigment for toning cement, concrete & mortarGood quality product, however in the absence of a guide as to what quantity is needed I decided to sprinkle the dye onto wet concrete instead of adding it to the dry mix. I achieved a good colour by sprinkling 5 level teaspoons over a slab of 50 cm x 50 cm and evening it using a soft brush. Very pleased with the result. Delivery was very quick and the charge very reasonable.

Mix ratio info
Used to darken polished concrete outdoor kitchen counter tops. The mixed cement with colour was poured into Contiplas moulds and vibrated. It turned out really well - a very smooth finish.A mix of 1kg of this powder to 25kg cement gave a slightly deeper colour than cement alone. In hindsight, I would have doubled the amount to achieve a more charcoal shade.Easy to use. The dry mix of this colour and cement barely changes shade. When you add water it goes quite dark but it dries back to a more cement shade.I’d suggest 2kg per 25 kg bag of cement

Perfect for matching to a brick colour.
I had a hole in a brick that I needed to fill. I bought some of this and added it to some mortar and it blended in almost perfectly. It looks a lot fainter than it actually is until you add water to it, at which point the colour comes out very intensely. So you need to add less than you actually think you do.

Does what it says
Works well but go easy because small amounts make a big difference.

It is OK.
It is OK but when using in very dry mix for filling in between patio slabs, you will need a truckload and so a truckload of cash. I put a full tin in one wheelbarrow load of sand and cement. All it did was add a hint of yellow. I guess in a wet mix it would work better, some dyes only really work when they they are made soluble.

It worked
I used this to stain some pointing by mixing it with water instead of mixing it with cement as it was easier to get the right colour match by brushing it on , I put three coats on to achieve a good match with the old pointing on my porch tiles, use a waterproof sealer to finish off.

Fantastic
My terracotta patio slabs had faded, so I mixed this in with some patio sealant and they look as good as new. It is still looking good despite several downpours and the colour is perfect. I know this isnt what the product is meant for, but for the price I thought I would give it a go, and it worked.
