Very easy installation. The lights are great with variety of patterns and colors. It’s exactly what I’ve wanted. Never have to take down or put up Christmas lights ever again. One complaint, the two strips of lights have to be joined together by two wires that create a 6 inch gap between a light strips. It drove me crazy why Govee couldn’t make a simple small connector to plug the lights right into one another without a huge gap. So I spliced the wires together to reduce the distance between the two light strips and once they were installed on the house, I just siliconed over the wires to prevent them from getting wet. Govee should look into making the connection of their light strips shorter

These things are amazing. I ran them at the top of my liner on an above ground pool. The adhesive is great quality it’s made by 3M and it sticks and stays. They have been in use for about two months now with no problems. The colors are unbelievable. And they are barely noticeable. I expect they will last for many years based on the quality of the materials. I have tried other cheaper brands outside and they tend to be a waste of money either the adhesive stinks and they begin to fall down or they stop functioning. These are definitely on the expensive side. The build quality seems to justify the price. As far as the app goes, it could use some improvement in terms of user friendliness, but to be fair, I am not the most patient person. If you take the time to learn all the functionality of the app, you can get these lights do crazy things.

Let me start by saying I'm happy with the lights and they look great. Easy to control via the app or your smart speaker. My concern from the beginning was would the adhesive hold up when outdoors in the Florida heat. It didn't. The strips started peeling in places after a few days on the wall. In all fairness, the wall I was installing on was a painted fascia board. It was rough and I did my best to sand it down before installing the strips. But it was not a perfectly flat surface. Govee provides channel clips every 27 inches and they certainly take some of the stress off of the adhesive, but in the end it was not enough. All was not lost however. I had the foresight to purchase additional clips "Griver 100 Pack Strip Light Mounting Brackets. Between the provided channel clips, the Griver clips and some well placed clear caulk, I think I have a solid, long lasting installation. One thing I was disappointed in was that unlike other Govee light strips, this one can't be cut to a different length. I guess this has something to do with the waterproofing, but it required me to loop the strip around and double it up near the end of my light string.

2nd purchase. Awesome quality. Fun to use. Neighbors always impressed with light functionality. Adhesive works great. Connectivity is flowless. Using outdoors on water fountain. Looks great. No problems. Govee updates the preprogrammed settings on a regular basis. Love the customer service for quickly replying to questions. Buying again.

I admit it, I've fallen in love with Govee. The products are high quality and do what the marketing messages and photos say they will. But there are limits to their durability, just like every product. With this brand, and specifically this product, I recommend you remain aware of how much handling (pushing, squeezing, squishing, or bending) you do to get it into the space you have available or the shape you want it to conform too.The 98.4ft length comes as 3 sections that connect by a short length of wire and a water-tight low-voltage screw connection. I installed mine under the aluminum coping that is the flat cap on the parapet wall that surrounds our roof top deck. The light washes the half-height wall providing us with either a nice low-level ambient lighting feel already the deck, or the ability to turn up the energy and just have fun with the the colored patterns racing around us.As far as durability... I was took a decent amount of care installing the lights, but admittedly I had to squish the light strip into a couple of tight spots. I must have pushed the limit on how much I could squish the light strip in one segment as the blue colored LED's are no longer working in a segment about 18" or so. This HAS NOT impacted any of the patterns or colors in the rest of the that particular light strip or the other two strips in this kit... I guess that's one advantage of individually addressable LEDs.Fortunately, I only need to replace one segment. It would be a real bummer if I had to buy the entire 98 ft roll again and replace the entire thing.On Eric's "Who should attempt this at home?" spectrum for installing electrical and home lighting products, this rates a solid "You Should !"
