LEGO Make Your Own Movie (Klutz)

A really great book, it has step by step directions on what you need to do to create animations. It gives ideas for storylines and scenes, comes with detachable backgrounds and is hours of fun. Also isn't tied to any software, just says to use a camera and movie software - we have a mac so just used iMovie. I really recommend this book.

This kept my 7 year old busy for hours and gave him new skills to make his own videos. An excellent gift for any child who loves building and technology. Very informative and easy to use. Book has all the Lego pieces needed to make great videos straight away.

A great little book, pitched at just the right level to get kids making there own animations. This kit contain charecters, props and scenery as well as loads of ideas for plots and a run down on different animation techniques. It really got my 9 year old excited about the possibilities - it is prefect for encouraging creativity. You will need to download your own stop motion animation software to a phone or similar to actually make a movie - this book points you in the general direction f the internet to find one but does not actually recommend a software programme. All in all this kit is great value and a lot of fun.

We love, love, love all in the Klutz series, they are just so entertaining and fantastic and this book is no exception. Plenty of Lego bits to play with and animate. An excellent way to get your kiddies interested in stop motion animation.

Bought for my six year old for Christmas, both he and his nine year old brother love it. You have to download an app in order to record the movies but there are plenty of free ones that work well. It would be lovely if more Lego was included, however for the price you can't quibble.

Excellent fun, kids spent hours building a restaurant and police station with jail from lego and then made three movies using a minecraft stop motion animation app that was free in the app store. The backgrounds were a great help for blocking out the kitchen and making the scenes look much better. My youngest asked how the tv show trapdoor was made using playdoh and I told her we would make our own movie so this lego book was the cheapest and easiest option although you could use the minecraft app and their toys for free. Thank you for 4 hours of peace and quiet stop motion animation.

I was impressed about the book. I was expecting a short booklet with a couple of LEGO pieces but you actually have everything you need to make your own movie. I found the mini-movies section really interesting as they provide easy ideas to get started and learn some basics.

Brilliant started kit. Gives you lots of hits and tips for making mini clips. Hours of fun for grown ups and children alike. My 4 years old niece was even inspired to make her own backgrounds!

My nine year old grandson is going to LOVE this! He is crazy about Legos, and crazy about animation. This Make your own Movie kit shows a step by step process for him to create his movie and animation, just by using his iPad or phone. He will get this for Christmas, and it will be one of his favorites! The colorful pages are super descriptive for each of the ideas, and it even shows you how to use lighting in the creation. I cannot wait to watch, and help, him make his own first movie. So fun!!! And an excellent value for the price. Very pleased with this awesome kit, and highly recommend!

Just as advertised and speedy delivery

Easy to follow tutorials and movie ideas, my son loved the backgrounds. He is using them for the short movies. The only thing that doesn't work that well is the recommended lego phone holder.
