Beast of a Shackle, smooth pin, but a rough body...
Ok, these are batch tested, rather than individually tested, but it's Safe Working Load of 3&1/4ton is in no doubt. For auto recovery type use, it's perfect. For slacklines upto 150m long, it's great but needed filing first.It's a cast body, and could be smoothed off better, as it will wear any slings without a protective sleeve, but the pin is smooth and not tapered at all..50kN pulley sat in there very well.overall a great piece of kit, but a bit expensive for the rough finish.

Bulkiness makes them completely incompatible with most pullies.
These are incredibly burly, but are unfortunately too bulky to be used with any pullies I have tried them with. I am a big fan of Slackstar, but this product really sucks.On top of the ridiculous size they are (as expected) heavy - and the finish isn't ideal. It would want 10 or 15 minutes with a file and some paper before you would want to run webbing straight over it.The slackstar niro shackle, however, is fantastic. I have one of those and will be getting two more to replace these two, which I suppose will hang around until I rig somewhere that needs more connections.Where it can be used this guy is burly enough for pretty much any system, it's just too bad it is such a fatty and can't fit in most rigs.
