Curtain Rail Brackets To Fit Swish Sologlyde Dovetail Type 10 Pcs

Calamity averted. These were ordered to replace my parent's 30+ year old Swish curtain rail brackets that had all become brittle and snapped last weekend bringing the heavy curtains down! These are a tight fit on the rail's dovetail but secure and tightened OK with the standard clamp screws supplied.Good excuse to wash and iron the curtains, which are now happily back up with some additional brackets installed for even more security... Recommended rather than buying a new rail as the newer ones are probably lower quality.

I brought these as replacements but only thing I must say is that when you open your curtains from one side to another, they do come off no matter how tight you screw them in on the rail,that must be a design fault as they are curved from bottom to wall end

After reading other reviews I used longer screws in the clamp, which I ground the point off so that they didn't protrude, not that the protruding point would have been that much of a problem. Rather than fit the brackets to the wall it looked like the best option was to slide them on to the rail first. Interestingly one end seemed to open up easier than the other end so I slid them all on to the rail in the same direction and put them in roughly the same places as the old ones. I then fixed them to the wall with the rail held up and finished off by tightening the clamp screws. Didn't take long and saved buying a new rail. However the curtain hooks are also brittle so I'll need more of those now.

These plastic curtain fixings become brittle after 20 to 30 years. That's when they snap. Make sure you order the right type for replacement. Swish squeeze together, while Harrison drape pushes out on the track. Examine your track, to make sure you order the right ones.

Doesn't fit easily, even though comparing this to old one, they are almost identical, but cannot tighten screw much, if at all, after forcibly fitting it onto the rail. The teeth are thicker, therefore not particularly universal. Also, you get no screws to fixing onto walls, which is rather ‘cheap’.

Fast and efficient service. Purchased to replace fixtures that had shattered when taking the old rail down. Very pleased with these and fast snd efficient service.

Our track was quite a few years old and the dimensions of the replacement bracket were just a shade smaller and therefor they could not be used. I replaced the lot.

Very good, saved our old curtain rail from having to be replaced. Make sure you look closely at the photo before purchasing, as I almost bought the wrong shape. This one was just right though.
