How is it different then a reglar ripstick.

The regular ripstick has the tube which connects the areas where you foot goes, that tube spins within itself, that creates the wiggle that propels the board. The Rip Surf has a flex groove to allow the twisting, to me this flex groove has a smoother, less wiggly type of a ride. The actual motion used to generate speed is pretty close to the motion used in generating speed on a surfboard. I'm a surfer, so this one is by far my favorite.

Is it possible to do a snap turn on this board like a surfboard? Do the wheels allow you to do this?

Yes, it moves mostly like a surfboard. The wheels allow you to do most tricks you can do on a skateboard and snap turns. I have one and I can turn pretty sharply and it almost glides when you snap turn.

what makes it better than a normal ripstik

For me, the ripstik requires too wide of a stance. The Ripsurf feels more natural to this surfer.
