Works but patchy
It did it’s purpose. I shampooed him first and maybe that’s where I messed up but I’m satisfied.

Doesn’t really show up
I love how great it smells and looked like it would be a nice purple. I know the directions explained that in order to get a more vibrant color, more washes need to be done using the shampoo and to let it sit 2-3 minutes. I did. Test spot on my fur baby’s tail (she has a white tip on her tail) and thought that would be a perfect lace to try out. The purple barely showed up, even after doing about 3 shampoos trying to at least get a pastel color, but no luck. Maybe I did something wrong, but I followed the directions printed on the bottle and saw no results. But however, it smells really good.

It Dyed My Hands - But Did Nothing to the Cat
I have a white cat. I bathed him with this shampoo and it didn't color his coat as advertised. He had a mild purple hue - almost like a blond toning shampoo, but no "best in show blue" as advertised. It did however stain my fingers and hands a lovely purple. And also stained my shower walls, floor and bathroom wall. I threw it out after this first and only attempt. Not worth the hassle for the results.

Dyed my bathtub, my nails, my dogs white tail not so much.
My heeler HATES baths but I wanted to do something fun with the tip of her tail which is the only white part practically on her - I tried 2x with different exposure times - all I managed to do was have to scrub my bathtub, the toilet, every other surface as when they shake this soap/dye goes EVERYWHERE!!! All I got is a nice cleaning task and my dogs tail had no additional color other than her white tail maybe looked a bit whiter. I would not recommend this to anyone and it's going in the trash.

Pup color
I want to start off by saying I have a Pekingese/Pomeranian mix, he has been colored with dog safe color a few times and always a shade of purple. Usually after it fades from any color he looks like an optical illusion or something like a real life filter of a hue of purple. Pretty trippy. I opened the bottle to smell it. No artificial fruity smells or anything smells like basic semi permanent hair coloring if you know that smell or some temporary gel hair color..not the spray can type. It’s a decent size bottle especially if you do just the tips of a tail or maybe paws. Designs definitely. Mochi, my peke pom is a tri sable furred pup with majority of white so I think I’ll test his tail here soon. Will update with pics but I’m already pleased with the item. One thing I would add was once I took the plastic off it had already started to leak from the cap without me pressing the top so perhaps a safety seal would help this. Didn’t notice it because the black cap so when I went to untwist the top my hand was covered thinking it may have a safety seal. It did however immediately wash off no scrubbing needed.Update 12/23/22Used the stuff on my Mochi cause he needed a bath due to all the snow and salt he might have on him.(worry not we use pet safe salt for our babies and neighbors) well my tub is stained lol I had to get some decent globs of the stuff and work it into his fur then after letting it chill a bit I washed his back off to see what looked like some irritation so I quickly emptied the tub and started rinsing him off to grab some pet safe shampoo and conditioner for him. I don’t know if it was the lighting or me being paranoid about using products like this. So maybe keep that in mind. I did a dry run on his tail like legitimately rubbed the shampoo onto his tail dry to see if it would have a different effect and then wet him down and worked quite a bit onto his coat. His chest had quite a bit, won’t even lie. He is drying off currently so hopefully maybe I may see if Mochi had a reaction an try it again. Otherwise I am unsure what to think of this until then. My other dog is a yorkie/shitzhu so no use using it on him. Mochi for fur reference is very soft and fluffy(included pics) like a peke/pom would be so coloring his fur is really easy. I wouldn’t say this was really easy. If I do it again I will use my sink for sure. This is a throwback to coloring my hair in high school and coloring my whole shower blue and knowing my dad rented the duplex I was panicking using everything in the house gradually to try to get the colors off the wall even having my friends put some elbow grease into those damn walls. Hahah I should have learned but it’s been well over 10 years since hs for me. Ya live and learn. I needed to deep clean this tub but I didn’t think I would be doing this currently. If your dog has more coarse hair similar to say…a corgi I don’t think this would work. I have used many pet safe and vegan pet friendly fur products on Mochi with amazing results but this one I dunno just yet. And remember just in case do a lil test patch. Mochi has never had any reaction to anything before so again do not know if I was being super cautious this time around or what. But keep that in mind.

I'm glad I tried it, but
The color is very faint, even after three applications. Even though it didn't really show like I thought it would, I'm glad I tried it. I had wanted to color my doodle's hair for a long time, but honestly, it was a lot of work and he definitely did not enjoy the process. It was a good experiment.

you have to dye it like you would human hair
I didn’t follow the instructions. You have to let it sit on your dog for awhile. I only did her tail. I wrapped it in plastic and let her be free and then I went back and rinsed it. The purple was subtle the first time and vibrant. The second. I did do it twice. The first time I followed the instructions and the second time I did my own thing.
